Italian studio Milestone and Feld Motor Sports have officially announced the forthcoming release of "Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game", scheduled for 2025. After a two-year break, the franchise returns with renewed ambitions, promising Supercross fans an even more realistic and immersive experience.
Off-road motorcycle video games: a pause for a fresh start?
Despite a busy year for Milestone, with the release of two major titles, "MotoGP 24" and "Monster Jam Showdown", the Milan-based studio has made the choice to interrupt the annual rhythm of Monster Energy Supercross games, whose series creation dates back to 2018. Since then, six titles had followed one another until "Monster Energy Supercross 6", released in 2023.
The slowdown in the pace of off-road games, with the last adaptation of the MXGP game dating back to 2021, before the loss of the license, raised questions. The developers had some explaining to do, and the teaser does just that: "We haven't forgotten about you, we've just been very busy." So we're expecting a real revolution with this new opus...
Total overhaul unveiled in Las Vegas
At the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals in Las Vegas, the game's first trailer was revealed, unveiling the major new features of Monster Energy Supercross 25. This opus marks a major turning point for the series, with a complete overhaul of gameplay and graphics, powered by the Unreal Engine 5. This engine, renowned for its performance, promises completely revamped visuals and physics for both bikes and terrain.
Monster Energy SX 2025: new features, gameplay, teaser reactions...
Among the most eagerly awaited additions, the game will introduce a dynamic track deformation system for the first time. Players will be able to feel the earth building up, creating ruts and bumps that evolve with each lap. Long requested by the community, this system will add depth to the gameplay, making each race unique and unpredictable.
Another major innovation, "Monster Energy Supercross 25" will allow you to experience the 2025 season in real time. The vintage included in the title is not insignificant: for the first time, players will be able to race with the official teams, bikes and circuits of the current season, allowing them to follow the evolution of the championship in real time. As Mike Muye, Senior Director of Operations at Feld Motor Sports, points out: "The fact that the 2025 version of the game will be available during the 2025 Supercross season is a major achievement that we're proud to be part of. It's going to be an exciting season that we're delighted to share in real time with players around the world."
A promising chapter, beginning in early 2025?

No official date for the Monster Energy Supercross 25 video game, but a little
excitement as the new opus approaches...
Sebastiano Stefanetto, the game's director, also expressed his enthusiasm:
This new chapter is the fruit of a long development process. We've taken the time to listen carefully to feedback from our community and create a game that's more spectacular, brutal and intense than ever. We're confident that this edition will push the limits of adrenaline and entertainment, for long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Monster Energy Supercross 25 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and PC. Although no specific date has yet been announced, a release date of early 2025 is planned, with a potential launch window in March, in line with previous installments. With this complete overhaul and its alleged improvements, Monster Energy Supercross 25 is an opus that, if it follows the teaser, should not disappoint...
