The Salon du 2 Roues de Lyon is set to open its doors earlier in the first quarter of 2025, much to the delight of enthusiasts. After a 2024 edition held in March, the 32ᵉ edition returns in February, from the 13th to the 16th, in the immense 153,000 m² setting of Eurexpo Lyon. The event, which attracted 150,000 visitors last year, aims to break new attendance and satisfaction records.
Lyon 2 Wheel Show: capitalizing on the success of 2024
After a 2024 edition marked by massive enthusiasm, the organizers want to strengthen the show's appeal by meeting the expectations of an ever-wider public. "We can't rest on our laurels [the success of the previous edition]. The content gets richer every year. We want to go from strength to strength," declared show director Jack Monchanin at a press conference held at the end of November.
In his words, we understand the desire to make the 2024 edition a real driving force in sustaining the show's success on a national and international scale. These ambitions beg the question: how can such success be maintained? Here's what's in store for visitors this year...
An enriched program to appeal to all audiences
The organizers are planning to pull out all the stops. The 2025 edition is counting on the diversity of its content to attract even more visitors.
Varied exhibits
The 2025 show is expected to feature a wealth of themes and models:
- 80 years of MV Agusta, with the presence of legend Giacomo Agostini.
- 50 years of the Enduropale du Touquet, a legendary off-road event.
- 40 years of iconic models, including the Yamaha VMax and Suzuki GSX-R.
- A unique retrospective celebrating 75 years of motorcycle Grand Prix racing, in partnership with Dorna.
- For lovers of rare motorcycles, an exceptional exhibition will bring together 25 Vélocette models, a first in France.
The Salon du 2 Roues put out a call for sellers to bring together rare gems in February, and it seems to have been widely heeded, with some 170 models waiting in the wings. Among the first lots announced is the sculptural Aston Martin AMB 001, the British manufacturer's first motorcycle, designed in 2020 in collaboration with Brough Superior. This mint condition example will be auctioned on February 15 at Eurexpo, with an estimate of between 120,000 and 130,000 euros. It is one of only 100 produced.
Another exceptional model is the Ducati Diavel 1260 S Lamborghini 2021, an exclusive edition celebrating the world of the Italian supercar. The prestigious sale, orchestrated by Maître Christophe Cheveu d'Or of Only Enchères, promises to amaze the eye once again.
Animations announced
The show would not be complete without its flagship events (and new features):
- Indoor motocross: more than 500 riders come together for impressive demonstrations.
- Motoball competition, an unusual blend of soccer and motorcycling.
- Le Challenge du Salon by Honda, where 12 influencers will compete in events combining cycling, motocross, slalom and mechanics.
- Spin-toWin Gravel Challenge, a single-elimination bike speed competition.
- BMW Race Challenge, sponsored by Olympic vice-champion Sylvain André.
- Competitions for professionals and amateurs:
- Le Maillon Fort, dedicated to cycle mechanics.
- Top Clef, a challenge reserved for young motorcycle mechanics.
- "Concours Motos", organized by the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles, which will welcome some thirty pre-selected vintage motorcycles.
... And much more besides!
In addition, motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to tell an adventure story in pictures through a short film of up to 5 minutes in length, as part of the Festival de Cinéma au Salon du 2 Roues. The short films selected will be screened in Lyon and judged by a jury of film and motorcycle professionals. The overall winner will receive equipment to support his or her future creations, and each selected director will receive two free tickets to the show. Entries are open until January 31, 2025 to succeed to this production:
This edition will be chaired by Ben Blake, content creator and globetrotter, whose videos combine aesthetics and emotion. His work, which embodies the spirit of the motorcycle road-trip, has reached an international audience and has been featured in Voyages à Moto magazine.
Electric mobility in the spotlight
This year's show is devoting 20,000 m² to electric mobility, featuring electric bikes, scooters and motorcycles, as well as new mobility solutions. This space is designed to appeal to a younger audience, in tune with changing travel patterns. Young license-holders will not be left out, as an A2 village will be dedicated to them.
This will also be an opportunity to find out more about the "Mo-Town" project , which aims to become the largest motorcycle village in Europe, and for which time will be set aside during the event.
Lyon 2 Wheel Show: victim of its own success in 2024?
The year 2024 was marked by impressive records, including 60,000 visitors on Saturday alone, reaching the limits of the exhibition center's capacity.
Jack Monchanin, General Manager of the Lyon Two-Wheeler Show:
One of our problems, so to speak, is that people stay at the show for a very long time. Nearly 59% of visitors stay all day. This poses traffic problems within the halls.
To meet this demand, director Jack Monchanin and his team have taken advantage of visitor feedback to rethink the show's opening hours, including a night-time event on Saturday February 15 until 11pm, to smooth the flow of visitors.

When is the Lyon Two-Wheeler Show?
To maximize visitor convenience, here are the detailed times:
- Thursday, February 13: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
- Friday, February 14: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Saturday, February 15: 9 a.m. - 11 p.m.
- Sunday, February 16: 9 am - 6 pm.
As the icing on the cake, a Japanese manufacturer will unveil an iconic new model as a world premiere. "It won't be an update, but a genuine new iconic model from this brand", teases Jack Monchanin.
