News Motoplanete gets a facelift: Discover the new era of the benchmark motorcycle site!

After weeks of hard work and palpable anticipation, Motoplanete is proud to unveil its brand new version! Get ready for a renewed, faster and visually more engaging user experience, marking a turning point after nearly six years of faithfulness to the MP8 format , launching in October 2019. This isn't just a facelift, it's a genuine revolution for your favorite portal in the world of two-wheelers.

A history forged by passion: the origins of Motoplanete

Before delving into the new features, let's take a moment to look back over the history of Motoplanete. The Motoplanete adventure began in July 2001, with the creation of the French version of the site by Greg. Alone at the helm for many years, Greg patiently began to build up the exhaustive encyclopedia that today makes Motoplanete an essential reference for thousands of enthusiasts.

In 2005, Yffic joined the ship, gradually taking the reins of development and bringing his technical expertise to bear on the site's evolution. Over time, other enthusiasts such as Seb, Céline and Lionel joined in whenever they could, all driven by the same passion for motorcycles and two-wheelers. For many years, Motoplanete has been the fruit of hard, voluntary work, driven by a love of motorcycling. It's only recently that this passion has enabled some of us to make a living from our commitment.

Last year, in June 2024, Motoplanete took another major step forward with the launch of Spanish and Englishversions of the site, extending its reach far beyond the French borders. It's a testament to our continued growth and our determination to share our knowledge and passion with an ever-wider audience.

A new logo for a more dynamic future

The first thing you'll notice is our brand-new logo. Gone is the old design, replaced by a resolutely forward-looking visual identity. The heart of the new logo is a stylized motorcycle helmet, clearly visible, symbolizing the safety, passion and commitment we share with you. The helmet is cleverly surrounded by rings, evoking a planet and recalling our name: Motoplanete. This graphic choice illustrates our ambition to continue to be a global reference in the world of motorcycling, while preserving our DNA, which is so dear to you. This logo reflects our desire to innovate and always offer you the best.

Performance and fluidity: Navigate at the speed of light

One of our major objectives with this new version was to considerably improve the site's display speed. We know that your time is precious, and we've made it a point of honor to optimize every element to make navigation even smoother and more instantaneous. While the site remains fully responsive, adapting perfectly to all your screens, from smartphone to desktop, it has been thoroughly reworked to ensure you don't lose a single second. Every click, every page load is now impressively fast, allowing you to access the information you need without the slightest delay.

A new visual identity for improved readability

• News items are easily recognizable thanks to a sober black background, underlining the relevance and importance of the latest information from the world of motorcycling.

• Our motorcycle tests feature bright red, the color of passion and adrenalin, plunging you straight into the heart of the riding experience.

• The legendary bikes category is sublimated by a warm, light brown, evoking the rich history and heritage of iconic machines.

• Finally, the sport section features a dark brown, synonymous with power and performance, reflecting the intensity of competition.

Each color has been carefully chosen not only to embellish the site, but also to guide you visually through the wealth of our content.

Her expertise and keen sense of design were invaluable in shaping this new aesthetic, which we hope will seduce you as much as it enchanted us.
