News Luggage systems are now customizable at Givi with the XSpace components.

Two Givi XSpace suitcases

Italian equipment manufacturer GIVI has unveiled a world premiere of its new Monokey XSpace case. This model emphasizes modularity by offering a variable-volume system designed to adapt to both daily urban commutes and longer-distance trips.

A capacity ranging from 27 to 36 liters

The main innovation of the XSpace case lies in its patented telescopic extension mechanism. With a simple action performed from the outside—eliminating the need to empty the contents first—the case’s height increases by 6 centimeters. This adjustment increases the loading capacity from 27 to 36 liters, representing a 33% increase in volume. The process is quite similar to BMW’s Vario system but more practical, as the adjustment is made from the outside on the XSpace suitcases, eliminating the need to empty the contents.

The manufacturer has designed its product for two distinct uses:

In compact configuration (27 liters): the top case is sized for daily city use, designed to preserve the motorcycle’s aerodynamics, compactness, and stability.
In extended configuration (36 liters): the increased volume allows for transporting bulkier luggage on long trips or accommodating an XXL-sized modular helmet (ECE 22.06 certified), visor included.

Technical Specifications and Versatility

Based on the classic Monokey mounting system, this accessory is versatile and can be installed either as a top case (on the rear rack) or as a side case. Technically, the XSpace is designed to withstand heavy rain and features an internal elastic net to keep items secure.

In terms of finishes, the brand offers two visual options: an anodized aluminum lid or a textured brushed aluminum-look finish. For security, the Smart Security Lock system is available separately and offers direct compatibility with BMW ignition keys, without requiring any modifications.

Development Strategy

With this product manufactured in Italy, GIVI aims to reaffirm its position in the high-end accessories market, focused on the research and development of functional solutions.

Umberto Visenzi, a GIVI director, took the opportunity of this launch to reiterate the company’s philosophy: The launch of this new Monokey represents for us a concrete demonstration of our ability to offer technologically advanced solutions to the global market. Since 1978, we have been developing projects with a focus on materials, safety, and compatibility with ever-changing requirements. These are the pillars of our growth, combined with attention to detail and the reliability of Made in Italy.
