News Spidi is expanding its line of ventilated jackets with the Tech Armor 2.

SPIDI is revamping its summer lineup with the launch of the Tech Armor 2. Now AA-certified, this redesigned jacket promises to combine maximum ventilation with a high level of safety, fully in line with the brand’s Step-InArmor modular concept.

A pioneer of the traditional 3-in-1 jacket in the 1990s, the gear manufacturer is shaking up the industry with its Step-InArmor system. Rather than layering liners inside, the Tech Armor 2 functions as a protective and breathable base layer. It can thus be worn on its own in hot weather or paired with outer layers, such as the Mission-V model, to quickly adapt to changing weather conditions.

Made of 60% mesh fabric, the jacket features large ventilated panels on the chest, back, and arms, promoting continuous airflow. The use of technical fabrics—combining flexibility, durability, and elasticity—is paired with a fixed mesh lining to ensure comfort and freedom of movement. For high-speed rides, waist adjustments and tightening straps at the protective pads ensure a precise fit, eliminating any discomfort caused by the jacket flapping. In addition, this new version is over 150 grams lighter—a significant benefit for reducing fatigue during long summer rides.

In terms of safety, the Tech Armor 2 reaffirms its premium status with its new AA certification. It comes standard with CE Level 2 protectors at the elbows and shoulders and features a slot designed to accommodate an optional back protector (Level 1 or 2). Visibility in traffic is enhanced by enlarged reflective inserts, which now wrap around the arms and remain clearly visible from behind. Finally, practicality hasn’t been overlooked, as the jacket now features five pockets and is available in a wide range of sizes, up to 5XL.
