presentation of the Diamondhead 2027
Electric models like to get off the beaten track and often indulge in extravagance. The shock can launch a career or sabotage its flight, but almost always succeeds in focusing the eye. Ola Electric's next sports car, theDiamondhead, has already succeeded. Cut with a scalpel, playing with angles and trapezoids, it promises to be formidable in terms of both style and acceleration.
One of its boldest claims is its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds. This would put it in a higher performance category than the world's fastest hypercars and motorcycles.
As for the battery: it will be powered by the "Bharat Cell 4680" battery technology developed in-house by Ola Electric in India. The software will be provided by Ola's in-house MoveOS 6 software and "Krutrim AI" artificial intelligence, which manages various vehicle functions.
For suspension and aerodynamics, adaptive suspension and active aerodynamics systems are planned, enabling the bike to adjust in real time according to speed, road conditions and rider preferences.
The Diamonhead will also benefit from active ergonomics: a system that could automatically adjust the position of the handlebars and footrests while riding to improve comfort and control.
Safety and Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS)
The Diamondhead is expected to be equipped with a range of AI-based ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and safety features, which would be a first for an electric motorcycle in India; with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and terrain-specific traction control, automatically adapting to different surfaces (gravel, wet tarmac, uneven roads).
The Ola Diamondhead, if it lives up to its promises of performance and technology, will position itself as a competitor to the Ultraviolette F77. These promises are somewhere between audacious and illusory, as the brand has ultimately specified very little. Weight, power, battery capacity and peripherals are all unknown.
