presentation of the 50 XP6 Supermotard 2026
A major motorcycle manufacturer in the first half of the 20th century, Peugeot is about to make a comeback in the 50cc meccabin segment on a common platform manufactured in France. A platform shared with Sherco, whose 50 SM models are a major inspiration for the Sochaux-based manufacturer's new XP6.
XP6 Supermotard, XP6 Supermotard R and XP6 Enduro R
All three models are powered by the Minarelli AM6 2-stroke single-cylinder engine, renowned for its sturdiness and performance, which harnesses its power thanks to a 16 mm Dell'Orto carburetor. The block is liquid-cooled and equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.
XP6 supermotard
The XP6 Supermotard is designed for a young audience, from the age of 14 in France, looking for their first experience of two-wheeled motorcycles, to get around town or on the road in style, with a paddock-inspired design and digital instrument panel. The XP6 Supermotard is fitted with sport-road tires, disc brakes (300 mm front) and a single-cradle steel frame.
XP6 supermotard R
Slightly sportier, the R model is distinguished by its spoked rims and inverted forks (ø 41 mm).
XP6 enduro R,
The XP6 also wants to get off-road. It's aimed at trail, off-road and adventure enthusiasts. It features more off-road spoked wheels (21" front and 18" rear), TT tires, inverted forks (ø 41 mm), long suspension travel and high ground clearance for steep terrain. This bike is aimed primarily at young enduro beginners or initiates, attracted by the discovery of riding on trails.
Proud of the past
Peugeot has long been a major player in the 50 cm3 segment, thanks to iconic models such as the 103, and left its mark on several generations with its gearbox bikes, a long time ago. The first generation XP6 ran from 1997 to 2011, with a slight restyling in 2005.
