In fact, it’s the same vehicle I’d already test-driven back in April.
I still have the same very positive impression when riding it.
The riding position is comfortable—it doesn’t strain your arms or legs.
But it’s not really a model for two-up riding, given the height and narrowness of the passenger seat.
Except when you’re pushing it to get it out of the driveway or, at a pinch, in town at very low speeds—that’s when you really feel the weight.
But while riding and through curves, there’s no longer any sense of heaviness; it doesn’t feel like a truck at all.
The engine is torquey and quite spirited, even in normal mode. It’s so smooth that you can easily cruise in 6th gear at 2,000 rpm without stalling or straining.
That said, you’d expect nothing less from a 780 cc 4-cylinder engine that isn’t exactly a sports car—with its “modest” 95 ch—but which still packs a punch.
I’m still breaking it in; even at just 4,000 t, it’s not sluggish at all—and in fact, in 6th gear at that RPM, you’re already at the legal speed limit outside of the highway!
The suspension is firm and the braking is very good. At the front, two fingers are enough to slow down.
Compared to the over-equipped version priced at 1,800 euros more, this model features only Chinese copies of Marzocchi forks—but they’re good copies and, what’s more, fully adjustable.
The instrument cluster is fairly comprehensive, but it lacks a range indicator, and the display for certain values is really very small.
Still, at this price, we’ll settle for it. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Jeff2A
I had the chance to test ride it recently and was very pleased with it.
With 95 hp for 206 kg (fully loaded with a 17.5-liter tank), it remains a relatively light and agile machine, even at low speeds.
Given my height (5’9”), the riding position is comfortable and natural.
Even while still breaking in, the demo model proved responsive and torquey right from low RPMs.
Handling is solid, whether riding normally or even in a more spirited mode.
The sound is pleasant, and I find the design of the stock muffler to be well-executed, which is rather rare.
The rear license plate holder is certainly more debatable, but there are worse options, and a shorter, adaptable model can be found easily and at a very modest price.
This rather “low-cost” Dark version offers exactly the same engine performance as the more expensive model above it (which costs 1,800 euros more), and the weight is identical despite a conventional steel frame.
The major differences lie in the suspension and braking components, as well as the onboard electronics.
Nevertheless, this model already comes standard with an up-shifter, traction control, and a sport riding mode. That’s already more than enough at this price point.
So given the very attractive value for money, I’m seriously considering buying one very soon. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Jeff2A
