Motorcycle specifications RiejuXplora 557 2025 Change of use

When Rieju returned to the world of medium-sized motorcycles, it was with a big buzz, caused by the impressive range of its Aventura 500 - 1000 kilometers announced! That we almost managed to do on a winter weekend.
The Spanish brand is expanding its offering with a new trail bike, more road-oriented and with a slightly more rugged style: the XPLORA 557.
It's a rather pleasing machine to look at, with a large torso and muscular proportions, giving the illusion of much greater cubage than its 554 cm3 twin. A silhouette with an obvious air of déjà-vu.... as this machine is none other than the re-adaptation of MV-Agusta's attempt in the trail sector with the Lucky Explorer 5.5 of 2022. This abandoned project is being revived on the Iberian side, with Rieju picking up the bike from QJ Motor.
The Rieju Xplora 557 is powered by a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with electronic fuel injection, developing 47 HP and 51 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, far more consistent than the Aventura's 500, and complying with EURO 5+ emissions standards. It is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and an oil-immersed multi-plate clutch with anti-dribble system.
Built on a multi-tubular steel chassis, the Xplora aims to offer a good base with proven components. At the front, it is fitted with a large 43 mm KYB inverted fork, while at the rear, it features a preload-adjustable KYB monoshock. It is also fitted with 17-inch aluminum wheels and Pirelli Angel GT tires, 120/70/R17 at the front and 160/60/R17 at the rear.
The XPLORA 557 is designed to offer powerful, progressive and safe braking, with dual 320 mm front discs with 4-piston radial calipers, and a 260 mm rear disc. In addition to these components, the Rieju comes as standard with a Bosch dual-channel ABS system, which can be deactivated.
With a seat height of just 820 mm, it is one of the lowest in its class. It is particularly accessible and easy to maneuver at low speeds. It also boasts a large 20-liter fuel tank, which, combined with low fuel consumption, makes long-distance riding possible.
In terms of equipment, this is a Chinese model, without being over-abundant. It comes with an array of accessories and features, including a large 7-inch color TFT screen with Mirror Link connectivity and navigation system, Full LED lighting, backlit handlebar controls, engaged speedometer, temperature sensor, fuel gauge with reserve indicator, as well as a USB port with an additional Type C socket for recharging the phone or connecting any other electronic device.
It also comes standard with adjustable levers, a radiator guard, hand guards, optional crash bars and a rear luggage rack - with optional pannier kit - designed for those who want to travel a long way or more and take the essentials with them.
