presentation of the Bullet 650 2026
The Bullet is THE Royal Enfield—an iconic model that the brand has been offering since 1932; for over 50 years in its 500cc version; and in other engine sizes over the years. In the current era, the name lives on with the 350, a compact bike ready for all the hustle and bustle of daily life. But for Bullet fans looking for a bit more power, here it is in a more substantial iteration with the 650 Bullet.
With this displacement, this is the largest Bullet in the manufacturer’s entire history. And it shows. Compared to the 350, it’s not just about the engine. The bike is less slender, more assertive, and boasts a more pronounced presence. All while retaining a very distinctive silhouette. A Bullet remains a Bullet, with vintage charm in every detail and an identity that sets it apart from the 650 Classic or Super Meteor.
A super Bullet?
With which it shares the engine. A 648cc twin-cylinder found in half a dozen models. Still radiating an almost sensual elegance with its cooling fins and smooth contours, the engine isn’t a powerhouse with its 47 horsepower (perfect for A2 licenses) but has its own character and makes for pleasant company. On a RE, you’re not chasing the clock; you’re out to enjoy the ride.
It glides beneath the distinctive small headlight housing, through the spokes of the slender 19- and 18-inch rims (100 and 140 mm), over the retro-styled seat, between the hand-painted trim and against the embossed badges. The 650 Bullet lives in its own time, not with its time—a subtle distinction.
That doesn’t mean the bike is outdated. It features Showa suspension, adjustable levers, a combination analog/digital instrument cluster with an additional small LCD screen for a simplified navigation system, a slipper clutch, LED headlights, and a USB-C port.

While you can expect a relaxed ride with a laid-back riding position, you’ll also have to appreciate its substantial weight of nearly 250 kilos. And yes, a tubular cradle frame with a split design and a steel swingarm, two sleek chrome “sausage” exhausts, polished aluminum switchgear, metal everywhere… it adds up on the scale.
The braking system follows the same philosophy, with a single 320-mm disc up front and two pistons to control it. The rear is pretty much the same, but with a 300-mm disc.
Timeless and in a league of its own
The Royal Enfield 650 Bullet has absolutely no intention of revolutionizing the genre. It simply aims to bring a touch of nostalgia and excitement (and twice the power of the 350) to a century-old dynasty. Form over function, and the high-end expression of a region where values have a different flavor than our own.
