Royal Enfield has its own take on sportiness. Its Guerilla roadster has been given a slight makeover to make it more… dynamic. But there’s no question of turning it into a streetfighter. A few changes will give it a slightly different riding character, and it becomes the APEX.
So, just a heads-up: you won’t notice it. Except for its colors. The Guerilla 450 Apex prefers to add some edge with:
- Different tires. It’s fitted with Vredestein Centauro STs, which are sport-GT-style, instead of the original CEATs (which are far from top-notch).
- A repositioned, lower handlebar to give the rider a more engaging riding position.
- Recalibrated riding modes. Plus, their memory function saves the last selected mode when the bike is turned off.
Nothing too extreme. But this Indian-made bike isn’t designed to get your adrenaline pumping. The Guerilla 450 is a charming little machine for unpretentious riding, with a cool look, urban agility, a lively engine, and undeniable fun. With it, you get 40 horsepower at your disposal, delivered with the character of a single-cylinder engine, a simple and easy-to-handle chassis, a large circular color TFT screen with music, smartphone, and navigation controls (the Tripper Dash), everyday practicality, and a genuine desire to be likable.
Priced the same as the Dash version, the 450 Guerilla Apex sets out to entertain with its more dynamic approach. It’s like adding a slice of lemon to a Corona—it doesn’t change the drink, but the taste makes you think it has.
