presentation of the GSF 650 Bandit N et S 2007
the end of an era... The first "low-cost" motorcycle, a simple, sufficiently powerful roadster with unbeatable value for money, is getting a makeover for 2007. Suzuki has kept the same recipe for a super-affordable motorcycle, but has changed the heart of the Bandit - away from the old air- and oil-cooled mill. Like its big sister (unless it's the other way around), the GSF swaps its old mill for a modern, cleaner, more powerful, fuel-injected and, above all, liquid-cooled engine.
With a red zone at 12,500 rpm, 36 mm throttle bodies and straightened intake ducts equipped with twin butterflies, the engine benefits from an attractive transfer of technology, guaranteeing much improved performance. Suzuki claims, without batting an eyelid, that the engine is more lively, pleasant and easy to drive. This should mean that you won't feel the ten or so kilos gained by the 2007 Bandit.
as most of the changes have been made to the engine, the price of the Bandit 2007 is unlikely to rise dramatically. Chassis and comfort not being obsolete, the GSF 650 evolves only on points of detail (such as the color of the turn signal covers) and preserves choice assets, such as the adjustable seat and handlebar heights. What's more, it's still priced at well under €6,000 for the naked model, and just over €6,200 for the S version with ABS. The Bandit has not finished vandalizing the competition.

Bikers' reviews Leave a review - 10 reviews
The weight is only noticeable when the bike is stationary. Once underway, the bike proves nimble. However, at low speeds, new bikes of the same type, such as the z650, the latest er6 or the MT07, prove more efficient in this exercise.
Maintenance is inexpensive and the Bandit's fuel consumption is low. From memory, it's accessible to A2 license holders with 34hp, simply by plugging a wire under the seat. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Oleray
No worries about insuring it for an A2 license, as its basic power is less than 70kW (95hp). However, it will be limited to 25kW (34hp) and not 35 (48hp) Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
After 2 months and a little more than 2000km on the odometer (bought in August 2008), I'm quite satisfied, 1st bike after a little more than 10 years of stop, I find it rather heavy at the stop and at low speed, then it rolls itself and it is rather handy and stable, the clutch is flexible and smooth and the ride is easy up to 6000t it winds without flinching in 6th and 3000t
After 7,000 rpm, the engine starts to push a bit, and it's a bit louder. I find the sound a bit "electric", but I wouldn't mind a bit more raucous sound, and I'm looking forward to a yosh or leo vince pot
To sum up, the bike is great for a beginner or a refresher, it's economical and does less than 6l/100 when ridden sensibly (- 7000t we're already at 130km/h in 6th gear ;-) ) it's good for everything, from commuting to bed, to weekend rides and Sunday fun ;-)
The only downside, in my opinion, is the weight. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Pete_Boule
Barely 1100Km to date, and only one regret: I didn't get it sooner. Without doubt the best price/pleasure ratio on the market. It's well-equipped, runs well, and above all, it's pleasant in any situation: city, road or freeway. The surprising weight at first is quickly forgotten. And its royal comfort makes you want to install a windshield (N version) to eat up even more kilometers. Bonne route a tous. Rating : 5/5 Respond to VROOUUUUMM
The only problem is its weight when stationary!
Rating : 5/5 Respond to fanou
i'm at the 12,000km mark, nothing's flinching, everything's original, it's still running without a hitch, what a pleasure, I should point out that my Bandit is naked, as I'm not a fan of the S model's fork head
All in all, a real pleasure, thank you Suzuki!
:o)))))
ps: on the other hand, the GSX-F replacement, aren't you kidding us a bit by masking the Bandit with a fairing? What's this imitation of the late 500GS with a fairing, you rascal! ;o) Rating : 5/5 Respond to Pascallegr
No worries in sight, there's gouache and suppleness, the weight makes the bike quite stable, in case of side wind among other things, it moves a little in case of degraded pavement
On the freeway, it overtakes without difficulty with safety, when you take a passenger weighing at least 70kg it reassures everyone, and on its own it kicks off well in the same conditions. In short, it's always a pleasure to ride, and as far as long-distance weekends of 1,300km are concerned, there's no noticeable fatigue
:o)
See you soon for fresh news!!!! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Pascallegr
Coming out of two and a half years of 500GS, the change is radical, everything is for the better, except the weight at standstill where you're not spoiled, for the moment the whole is "under control" without inconvenience, the machine weight in motion is hardly a concern, it even reassures compared to my 500
In terms of acceleration and overtaking, which for the moment is limited to a maximum of 5,000 rpm, there's no comparison: it moves forward, it doesn't scream, the braking seems sound, fuel consumption remains to be assessed, but it's going to happen quickly, the whole thing is pleasant to look at and its suppleness is a pleasure to wind up gently, in short, it seems to be happy, but we'll see a little later!... ;o) Rating : 5/5 Respond to Pascallegr
