Motorcycle specifications SuzukiGSX 1400 2002 An enormous blast

Naked

with this new GSX, Suzuki offers us the most muscular, the most torquey, and one of the most comfortable big roadsters in production. The market loved the XJR 1300 - it's going to love the 1400 GSX. Faithful to air and oil cooling, the imposing 4-cylinder fuel-injected engine is housed in a classic tubular frame, anchored by excellent suspension. The GSX gives you an irresistible urge to go up and down the hills. The soul of this bike, its engine, is a perpetual invitation to give yourself an adrenalin rush. A simple twist of the right hand and the thrust rips through your arms. With its unbelievable torque, the big block has more than enough response. To make matters worse, it doesn't know bad manners. The power is truly striking, but it doesn't overwhelm you, and is voluptuous in its demonstrations of force. The slightest village crossing is an excuse to play with the engine's elasticity. Set at the authorized speed and revving close to an Olympian calm, the mill lulls you into a deep purr - a bit like a big, quiet cat sure of its strength. As you leave the town, all you have to do is turn the handle a little to leap smoothly to cruising speed. When driving, this roadster fears no one. The power allows you to play with anything, the precise gearbox locks up without a hitch, and it's a pure pleasure to spend hours on the GSX's wide saddle. Without a doubt, it's one of the most comfortable in existence. With its smooth controls, natural, upright riding position and low seat height, the Suzuki is a real contender. On the attack, this big roadster can't hide its weight or ground clearance. Sufficient in most situations, it proves too tight when you're whipping around the 1400, so it's better to adopt a more relaxed riding style that's no less effective.

With its excellent comfort and impressive power, the GSX 1400 is the benchmark in its segment. The smoothness of its engine and the softness of its seat are unforgettable.

Hi everyone
i've owned quite a few motorcycles, from the new kawa zzr 1400 to the gold 1800 GL and also some Yam 1300s. Frankly, when I got the Suz 1400 GSX, it was great, it's comfortable but not so much for long-distance riding, but it's still a great machine for daily commuting. Very easy to maintain

Hello everyone,
I've been driving my purebred since 2007, excellent value for money.
In 12 years, just one fuel pump, 800 francs with labour, otherwise nothing, apart from normal wear and tear
I've clocked up 120,000 kilometers, averaging 10,000 a year
We ride with two people most of the time, I do all the mechanical work myself, well, the little that needs doing, oil changes, forks, air filter, brake pads, spark plugs, etc...
Quit chain and tires, not me, too easy!!!
Voilà, voilà, very good bike, I expect to do 2 laps of the meter if all goes well
See you friends

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a Suzuki 1400 GSX
Can you tell me what you think and what is the value of the model equipped with the Yoshimura 4-in-1?
Which model is the most advanced in terms of safety?
Thank you for your answers and advice
Best regards

Whatever the model year, it's reliable; of course, there have been a few minor changes over the years, but nothing revolutionary. I'm not in favor of changing the exhaust system on a motorcycle: the manufacturer knows what he's doing when he markets a model! The original Yoshimura undeniably sounds great. Good buy, you won't regret your choice.

I'm 68 years old and have been riding motorcycles for decades, and I've owned a lot of them: german, English, Italian, Japanese, after a while, I sold them all without any "state of mind", the last 2 a Guz V11 (which I still regret) and 3 months ago a "buze" which worked very well; the only one I've kept and don't intend to resell is a GSX 1400 from 2003 which I've had for over 10 years, with its 31,000 kms it seems: it's brand new! so I can confirm: the archetypal simple, comfortable and unfailingly reliable motorcycle. If maintained, buy it without hesitation. Rating : 5/5

Hello kiki, after reading you, I too own a GSX and I'm also in my fifties, so I can confirm what you said. Mine is from 2003 and I'm absolutely delighted with it. For your slight gearbox problem, I'd simply advise you to change the oil. I used to ride a 1300 fjr which ran on ipone 10w40. If it helps your 1400 to feel better ..... Good day Fab. Rating : 5/5

Bought in Nov-2001, therefore one of the first imported, and always in my garage, and forever, next to my other motorcycles which succeed it without ever replacing it! my only motorcycle up to its 73000 kms done without ever any problem nor suspect noise, nor even false contact, this motorcycle has an engine out of reinforced concrete and it will never leave me! i've also had Deauville, K1200S, R1200R, R1200RT, VFR1200DCT, and now HD street glide, which I use for my weekends and vacations. My GSX is retired, but certainly not retired, and I still use it practically every day, and it still runs as smoothly as the first day!
Ridiculous fuel consumption for a 1400, range, comfort, reliability, etc., when I see people parting with them at such a low price, I tell myself that either they don't have room in their garage, or they're crazy! Gil

I can confirm that the Michelin PR4s suit this machine very well, they stick to the road and provide comfort and handling.

Motorcyclist since...1976,

some fifteen bikes: 450 Honda, 350 RD Yam, 750 Honda, 1000 Japauto, Honda GL1100, 650 Bonneville, BM R100S, FJ1200, 2x 850 Norton, BM 1150 R, 900 Hornet and finally the sublime Gsx1400 K6.

In 2007 at Orca Rambouillet: I dropped off my 900 Hornet at the depot-sale and tried out a GSX, just for fun; I immediately fell under the spell of the engine (no hesitation, this is the one for me) and took it with me!

After 8 years, I can confirm c\'est extra une Gsx: in terms of riding pleasure and sensations (at low and medium revs; where it counts) all my previous bikes are simply...forgotten.

super machine! mod 2001 94000 km, nothing done except the spis joints i've fitted an akra titanium line, iridium spark plug, gear indicator engaged which optimizes output! i've got 11.5 mkg at the wheel on the fuchs dyno! there's plenty to do, whatever the gradient, the gear ratio, the load, it's always very hairy, even violent! what an engine; no other manufacturer offers better! I challenge any machine to pull so hard with the gear ratio of the GSX (18x41), which gives a 160 speedo at 5000 rpm. I can only think of the BE KING's engine to do a bit better, and all with demonic reliability! Rating : 5/5

i bought a 2003 model with 21,000 km in June, I only use it at weekends and on vacation, the rest of the time I drive a 12 bandit, I was surprised to see that I'd already done 6,000 km with it, it's pure fun, an engine that picks up at 1,500t in sixth gear and that pushes, not violent but that doesn't stop towing, a master class comfort and a fuel consumption of 6 l for two, loaded at 140 kmh, i.e. about 300 k before the reserve, what a bohneur ! add to that a 10-year registration, so half the price, and peanuts insurance, and you've got the bohneur in the percheron! Purchased with 1500 km in 2002, it now has 34,000 km. Very good machine, comfortable and full of torque. I recently changed the chain kit, but I could still have driven it with the original. No problems except for spark plugs, once. I can't recommend it highly enough. I ride pretty cool, more on torque than power. I used to have a 750 Inazuma which also worked very well.

Since my message, it has reached 157,000 km, and everything is still original.
I change the oil myself every 10,000 and the consumption in between is 1L of oil.
I can confirm that the fuel consumption is 5L/100km.
For the wind it is necessary to be equipped with a high bubble secdem deflector to run at 140 without fatigue.

i've got a 2005 model and i'd say it's a very, very good bike, both in terms of comfort and engine flexibility. i don't agree that it's under steered.after having found the right compromise in terms of the multitude of front and rear suspension settings and with the right tires, I can guarantee that on winding roads, some sports bikes, especially Italian ones, have remained dumbfounded at having their exteriors done by the so-called patode suzuki. its fault I'd say is its fuel consumption in rough terrain mode, but never mind, I love it. philippe 54 years old, 37 of which on motorcycles Rating : 5/5

I've been riding motorcycles for almost 40 years, always on a Suzuki, and for me, the 1400 is just what I'm looking for. I'll give my opinion on the pluses and minuses: plus, it's a sturdy bike (it's never been in the garage since 2002), comfortable, refined if it's equipped (boot, bailer, windscreen) and torquey - minus, it's impossible to put it on full throttle and it consumes too much fuel - apart from that, it's been the best machine for 40 years

French Fabrice Model 2001
Hello, it is possible to obtain even more breath above 7000 rpm, via the Yoshimura kit proposed by Suzuki (4 in 1 exhaust + camshafts) which allows to gain 15 HP 2000 rpm higher, apparently without any loss below. As for me, I've replaced my two mufflers with two scorpions with removable baffles, mainly for the sound (cavernous, deep and virile), while the power (111 HP, 14.2 mkg on the bench) is more than sufficient for everyday, all-purpose use.
