presentation of the GSX 1400 YOSHIMURA 2006
after the 2005 edition of the GSX-Yoshimura partnership, Suzuki is back at it again, with a limited edition of the GSXa limited series of the GSX 1400 "exhausted" by the famous Japanese accessory manufacturer. Instead of a tri-oval muffler as before, a catalyzed "dual oval" silencer with 2 tailpipes takes care of the big 4-cylinder's voice. This chubby roadster takes the opportunity to shed a few kilos, and remains a relevant choice for those who want to enjoy the road in comfort. Of course, it can't compete with the wave of streetfighters that have invaded the streets. Their style is aggressive, attacking and uncomfortable. The GSX 1400 is in a completely different league: a big, torquey muscle that propels an armchair in Dolby Surround, how about that?

TOP TORQUE FOR THOSE WHO LIKE IT, AND THE SOUND OF THE YOSH IS REALLY NICE, SO YOU CAN GO A LONG WAY WITHOUT GETTING TOO TIRED, E.G. 600 KM IN A DAY. OVERTAKING IS A DELIGHT
THE LIMITS OF THIS BIG HEART ARE THE TWISTS AND TURNS THAT FOLLOW ONE ANOTHER, AND THE LIMIT IS REACHED IN SPORTY DRIVING: THE SUSTAINED LEFT-RIGHT ROCKING IS TIRING, BUT IT'S POSSIBLE TO DRIVE IT MORE SMOOTHLY, GIVEN ITS WEIGHT, AND STILL HAVE FUN..
ROCK-SOLID RELIABILITY, NEVER A BREAKDOWN, JUST ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. REASONABLE FUEL CONSUMPTION BELOW 200 KM/H, BUT ABOVE THAT I'VE NEVER HAD THE TIME TO REACH ITS LIMITS, IT'S SO POWERFUL....A MUST BE PUT IN THE HANDS OF A WISE MAN. Rating : 5/5 Respond to JCBONE
I just bought a 1400 gsx from 2006 with 52000 km it runs perfectly but I have the impression that the second syncro is tired it is very hard and cracks when I want to shift to low rpm is this normal
Rating : 5/5 Respond to schreck1957
bonne saison a tous Rating : 5/5 Respond to joe bar te
yes, it's the best in terms of torque, so in terms of acceleration, but this bike has several shortcomings
- excessive heat in the knees in summer (you get burnt!)
- fuel consumption is a bit high (normal, as 1400 cm3 is too much)
- rear tire wears out quickly (around 6000 max)
- short 1st gear and lack of extension in the revs (it's all about torque)
On the other hand, if you've understood all that, making it spit on torque is a treat, even for a sports bike enthusiast who'll find another way of expressing himself "all the way down" instead of very high up in the revs
Great engine, superb bike, honest price: all good things from Suzuki!
GGGAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZ!!! Rating : 5/5 Respond to cbrrunner
for protection, I put on a wind jump and at 5000 rpm at 170km/h the helmet doesn't go up yet, but the arms are starting to stretch
This Cocotte is really great...
Bonne route à tous et prudence

it's really beautiful !!!!! with the yosh output... for the moment I have a bandit 12S which has been running like an Olive for 2 months because it doesn't like the cold or the rain (a shame in winter) and the worst thing is that suzuki can't do anything about it.......................
So no more carburetors and hello injection!!!
I'll tell you more next week about the virulent torque toy
Bonne route à tous. Rating : 5/5 Respond to gégé91
