Motorcycle specifications SuzukiGSF 1250 Bandit S 2013 The age of reason

a great page has been turned for Suzuki engines. With this 1250, the big Bandit has said good-bye to the famous air- and oil-cooled SACS engine. This engine, installed in '96, was derived from the 1100 on the GSX-R of... 1986. Since 2007, and the passing of Euro 3 standards, the GSF 1200 has gone up in displacement and, above all, has adopted liquid cooling and fuel injection. A new stage for Bandits.
98 cm3 more. With this increase in displacement, the block rises to 1255 cm3 by increasing the stroke of the pistons. With the help of fuel injection and a 6-speed gearbox, the 4-cylinder will certainly be even fuller and more powerful at all engine speeds. It's also cleaner, thanks to its catalyzed exhaust air injection system.
This liquid engine is THE big change to the Bandit since 2007. As for the rest, the bike remains virtually unchanged. Same design (except for the engine fins, which have disappeared), same chassis, same geometry. Weight has increased by 10 kgs, attributable to the engine and frame. The frame's tubes have increased in diameter, for the benefit of rigidity, which has risen by 10%. The Bandit gains weight and cm3, its seat (adjustable to 790 or 810 mm) is raised by 5 mm; and on the rev side, the fuel tank is reduced by one liter. ABS is fitted as standard.

I drive a 2009 1250 S with 15,000 km
Ex: at 60 km/h in 3rd gear it vibrates and has trouble starting, so I have to go down to 2nd gear
And it has trouble getting up to 8,000 rpm
Do you have any advice for me?

Does this machine disengage?
If so, we go from 98 hp to ... ?
Merci de vos réponses

D\'après certains bidouilleurs, on peut monter à 150 cv.
Already, with 100hp, it's enough on the road. I only pushed the machine once on the autobahn, and not for too long in Germany (not to be done in Belgium, given the shitty state of the freeways), to see if I could keep it in the red zone. At 8,000 revs, you reach 235km/h. That was enough for me.
I prefer to drive more or less within the speed limits. Respect for other road users and for my old carcass. No spare parts for my old bones, alas! By changing the electronic board, I'm told you can get up to 200 hp.
But the frame and shocks would have to be modified for greater rigidity. Add a turbo, rebalance the crankshaft etc... You'd need a top-notch team of mechanics. What's more, I don't know if this is allowed by law or by insurance companies, probably not.
Remember that there are only two categories of motorcyclists. Crazy bikers and old bikers. I haven't found any crazy old bikers among my acquaintances.

After a rigorous break-in period, I'm making the most of this machine's impressive torque. I find it comfortable despite the heavy weight of the biker. Fortunately, it needs to be refueled "often" to relax the buttocks.
As for speed, at 130, it's perfect, it doesn't move, and in curves it follows, with extra ABS braking.
A little speeding, it pushes hard and fast, but never reaches the red zone.
A gear indicator is missing, which is my only complaint at the moment.
Happy biker on an excellent value-for-money machine.

effective braking, ABS plays its role perfectly. lacks a gear indicator.

The pleasure with this bike is to be able to configure it as you like.
Small frame, 1m63, I changed the upholstery, thanks to topsellerie who did a great job. The gel saddle spares my buttocks after 600km in one go. I was given the opportunity to lower the height of the machine by changing the triangulation of the central shock absorber. I fitted a lower fairing and changed the original bulb with a xenon one, so that cars would see me coming between the lanes. On a German website, I found a kit to adapt a drive belt instead of a chain. You have to tinker a bit with the system, but it's easily done. The ride is very smooth. The original bubble isn't great, so replace it with a bubble with a spoiler. Adapt a top case and suitcases for cruising with the lady. No starting problems, the abs brakes are more than sufficient if you don't drive like a madman. Being 62, I hope it will last at least another ten years. The old wreck that I've become will have a hard time getting it out of the garage. Then we'll see... Rating : 4/5 Respond to Secco

very interesting the idea of adapting a belt instead of a

On which German website did you find this kit?

Before the last overhaul, I was closer to 6.5 liters. According to the dealer, the 95-E10 fuel is to blame. But even switching to 98 doesn't make any difference
Hence my need to know if other users have this problem of over-consumption (I consume less with my diesel car)

What's more, my fuel consumption in town is 7.2 instead of the usual 6.5 since the last service.
I wonder if the dealer hasn't changed mechanics.

you need to use a peer to peer program like utorrent and the manual is in English.
Bonne route.

Fuel consumption in quiet conditions and when riding in and around town varies between 7 and 7.5 liters per cent
I'd have liked the fuel tank to be a bit bigger, so that I'd have to make a few less trips to the gas station
I fitted a high bubble and a top case
What's really nice is that the engine never struggles, whether you're alone or with a partner, and that's without ever having to rev it up, as the torque is available very early on (3500 rpm)
Unbeatable value for money to date
