presentation of the 1000 GSX-R SE 2014
Although its name is one of the most synonymous with sport, the GSX-R 1000 is slowly letting the years pass without really shaking up its evolution. Is it serious? As I write these lines, it has just won the 8 hrs of Oschersleben. Mamie GSX-R still has a big French fry on her shoulder.
this special edition, branded 2014, bodes well for an unchanged vintage. That won't stop us from appreciating Suzuki's work on its hypersport fetish. A tuning exercise in which white and, above all, blue take pride of place. Anodizing has been applied to fork forks and caps, engine side covers, chain links, steering column top nut, fuel filler flap, rear wheel axle plates, wheel spokes and shock absorber spring. There are also a few bluish traces on the rev counter ring, air intake vents, ignition key and saddles. The rims are distinctive: blue-coated on the inside and polished on the edges. The aluminum perimeter frame is also polished and finished in chrome. As ugly as ever, the exhaust also earns its passage through the polishing workshop, with the added bonus of a black anodized cap.
created to celebrate Suzuki's 50th anniversary on American soil, this GSX-R 1000 S.E. will be produced in a limited edition of 100 units, 50 of which will be reserved for the States. A small engraved and numbered plate on the upper tee authenticates the model. France will receive just 5 units of this rather special GSX-R.
