presentation of the 900 Scrambler 2025

Triumph's Scrambler range is no longer a question of Street or first name. All under the same banner, with displacement as the distinguishing feature. So, the rider of the streets and lanes can simplify his patronymic.
Once you've got over the euphoria of the new sticker, you'll remember that the 900 Scrambler is used to changes of varying degrees. For a moment, we even wondered whether laws and standards might change a face, erode an emotion and destroy a reason for being. Like Euro5 recently, which fortunately had very little effect on him: a few extra rpm to obtain maximum power and torque, in exchange for a reduction in pollutant emissions.

The Englishman also wanted to revise a few elements. Not out of necessity, but out of coquetry. Let's compare vintages to distinguish the headlight mounts, injection covers, heel protection plates and seat cover.
Less attractive, the knee grips have disappeared, as have the badges on the engine casings. Triumph gives on one side and takes away on the other, while maintaining the durability of this category.

Triumph understands the image it can create, has been promoting it for years, and is keeping it more than ever in its range. And it regularly inspires a desire for off-road, beach and country adventures. To the point of pitching a tent after every ride. As a result, this country-style Bonneville could just as easily fall asleep facing the streets as in a barn.

A slice of toast, a wave to your mates, extinguish the embers of yesterday's barbecue and fire up the twin. With the Triumph, you take some of the charm of lost moments with you. Before returning to the reality of everyday life, your heart can get lost on narrow roads. That's what the Scrambler is for, with its raised exhausts, small hoof, cobbled tires and spoked rims. Be careful not to take Gérard's rims, from the previous generation, with you when you set off. They're virtually identical in appearance. Except for the saddle, which has a new cover; and the logo, which has been tweaked a little; and the brake caliper, which has been shifted slightly. And the fork, with its wider-spaced tubes, looks much better. It's also more efficient, with improved internal components. The front end appears less sluggish. If you lean forward a little, you can see that it takes the road and its dynamism more seriously, with a new Brembo brake caliper that doubles the number of pistons.

Triumph 900 Street Scrambler 2021as you pass by the fences lining the fields where the cows graze, everyone will think of slipping into the skin of Steve McQueen... or not. Triumph never misses an opportunity to showcase its flagship ambassador every time a Classic lifts a clod of earth. It's all too tempting, as the actor is one of Triumph's icons of the motorcycle world. Those who have brought a life, a symbol or even a legend to this passion. The analogy with the TR6 is constantly being drawn on displays and brochures. But right now, it's time to get a move on, because we're going to be late, dodging rabbit holes and chatting to every clueless bovine. When the main road resurfaces, we'll be able to put the gas pedal to the metal.

the old Street Scrambler wasn't a fan of the exercise, lacking breath after the mid-range. Triumph responded to this criticism by boosting the twin some time ago. Not more displacement, but a higher compression ratio, a lighter crankshaft, fixed shafts and vilo balancer shafts, revised injection and 18% more power in the end. This represents a gain of 10 hp for this 900 cm3, reaching a peak of 65 hp. As a result, engine response is more sparkling, making it possible to forget the "lacking a bit" aspect of the previous model. But you have to go out and get the watts. The maximum value is reached at 7,250 rpm, whereas its predecessor spat out its 55 barrels at 6,000 rpm. Identical punishment for torque, unchanged at 8.2 mkg but developed 400 rpm higher, at 3,250.

Triumph 900 Street Scrambler 2021the mood when you wake up is often different from the mood after breakfast. For this Scrambler, it's the same. In addition to engine upgrades, Hinckley has added riding modes. Rain, Road and Off-Road mapping have been added to traction control and disconnectable ABS, both of which have been present since the birth of the Scrambler.

We've seen the main changes to the 900 Street Scrambler. Those in the know can still find answers in the instrumentation, front mudguard, upper fork crown and headlight mounts. The eye must be that of a true enthusiast, and there's no shortage of accessories - 120 at present in the catalog.

When you get to work, if there's still a little mud on your pants, it's because the day has started well. That's why we're interested in the Scrambler, isn't it? As is often the case, style comes at a price. The British model is well above the price range of a mid-range roadster.
Triumph has also thought of those who want something stronger, more powerful, more adventurous, more premium, less accessible: the 1200 versions in XC and XE opuses.

French supersonix Model 2020
after many ducati, aprilia, moto guzzi and yamaha, first time I've owned a motorcycle since 1994,with so much ease, confidence and pleasure every day!
rewarding, invigorating, comfortable, reassuring in all road and weather conditions, reliable, with very appreciable torque in town..highly recommended to bikers who sometimes have difficulty riding a motorcycle in heavy traffic..very reassuring with its turning radius and wide handlebars for slipping along like a bicycle! a magnificent machine, very timeless and chic, a beautiful object that I consider to be a piece of jewelry that I wear when the weather's fine, to have fun in town or on winding roads. my best motorcycle purchase to date, and one that's still going strong thanks to the image of the model and the brand.

French Titelle Model 2020
There's no problem with the temperature in contact with the pots, except in very hot conditions when stationary, at a traffic light for example. But that's also the case with most motorcycles, where engine heat rises quite significantly in summer, above 30 degrees. Rating : 5/5
French Titelle Model 2019
The 2019 model is much more pleasant than its predecessor. Increased comfort and a livelier engine for the same fuel consumption (3.8l/100 in cruising mode). Handy, light, well-equipped and accessible to smaller riders.
In terms of finish, as with the whole neo-retro Triumph range, everything is impeccable. Just one comment on the light yellow rear of the headlight reflector, visible through the huge hole at the back of the headlight. I took the whole thing apart and painted the reflector black to make it invisible.
Very happy with my Fusion White purchase, 2500 km on the odometer.

Hi Titelle
A question about the exhaust. Does it heat the leg in urban mode or does the heat shield do its job?

I rented and used the 2017 version one WE on a road trip. Delighted. The most pleasant bike I've rented so far for this kind of ride on 500 km of small roads. The pot didn't bother me, let alone burn. Even standing up. On the other hand, I don't really believe in off-road use with 210kg fully loaded. So a classic low pot would be more coherent, less showy.
