breitling - This name sounds deliciously English in the mouth, chewing its syllables like a lord of the industrial revolution. Yet there's nothing British about it. The famous watch manufacturer was founded by Léon Breitling, Swiss from start to finish; and his company is still here, 140 years after its foundation.

Triumph has once again teamed up with this luxury brand to create a new limited series. After the 1200 Speed Twin in 2022, it's the turn of the sultry Speed Triple 1200 RR to brandish the Breitling logo.

As so often with Hinckley, the design is sober and tasteful. The two-tone black and grey color scheme is aimed at gentlemen, while hand-painted gold piping enhances the overall presence. The finish takes things up a notch, with an exclusive Akrapovic titanium muffler, a leather seat dotted with stitching, carbon parts(but the standard 1200 RR already has them?!?), scrolling LED indicators, and the Breitling stamp all over the place.

The Swiss watch emblem appears on the display during the start-up sequence, is laser-engraved on the rear wheel cover and on a plate in front of the fork crown, as well as on a gold plate on the fuel tank. To add even more value, Triumph will produce this Speed Triple RR in a limited edition of 270 units, 36 of which will be sold in France. The serial number will be inlaid on the fork crown.

At the same time, Breitling presents its new " Chronomat B01 42 Triumph " watch. A magnificent timepiece that only owners of this café-racer will be able to acquire. Despite the bike's seriously enhanced price tag, the watch is not offered free of charge. But be warned, the partnership is as glamorous as it gets. Once you've bought it, you'll be able to write a cheque for 10,500 euros for this custom-made Chronomat. It's a blend of precision watchmaking and goldsmithing, housed in titanium and 18-carat red gold, with a carbon dial, an alligator leather strap (poor beast), and the caseback engraved with the same serial number as the Speed RR purchased.
As a reminder of the motorcycle's details, the counterweight of the central chronograph hand bears the Triumph logo in the shape of a shield.

With this Triumph and this Breitling, you're dealing with a noble couple. The Speed Triple 1200 RR gives you plenty of thrills with its big 180 hp 3-cylinder engine, complemented by an impressive chassis and semi-active Öhlins suspension components. Braking reflects the sportiness of this machine: Brembo Stylema calipers are stellar. The bike's single-sided frame is a thing of beauty, while the riding position shows a certain exactingness and merit. This duo is a fine achievement, beyond the reach of most motorcyclists and prosaic reality.
