presentation of the TIGER 800 XCA 2017
the Tiger family is a prolific sibling group, each with its own leitmotiv. The 1200 Explorer and XC have their sights set on Grand Touring, while the 800s have fewer touring pretensions but more desire for fun. While the XR, XRx and XRT have their sights set on the urban, the road and the pace, the more adventurous XC and XCx intend to enjoy themselves on the road, on tarmac and on gravel.
and if you're in the mood for a longer ride, there are a few accessories that will catch your eye. The XCA version is over-equipped to attract a premium clientele fond of overflowing machines. To the XCx's already plethora of equipment (engine cover, hand guards, riding modes, engine protection bars, cruise control, traction control and off-road ABS, etc.) we've added a few adventurous extras. An additional 12V socket brings the number of auxiliary sockets to three. Handles and saddles are heated. Triumph has boosted the alternator to deliver 650W, with high electrical consumption in mind.
Once all the on-board gear is plugged in, where's the GPS? Don't worry, the Tiger 800 XCA comes with a support kit for it. The overall package also includes LED fog lights, a CNC brake jar, tire pressure monitoring and aluminum pannier holders.
to the arid, irresistible scent of off-roading is added the ardor of the British 3-cylinder. Its 95 hp and torque in excess of 8 mkgs are a joy to behold. Playful and furious, this engine gives wings to the Tiger family. Chassis-wise, the 21-inch front wheels, spoked rims and long-travel WP suspension give you plenty of grunt to guide you along the dusty roads.
