presentation of the Tracker 400 2026
Triumph expands its 400 family with a machine inspired by flat-track racing. The combination of dirt and traverses transforms the 400 Speed into this more intrepidly styled 400 Tracker. A subtle derivative that takes care not to tread on the terrain of the more trail-oriented Scrambler 400 X.
Not many motorcycles have transposed the spirit of flat-track to the road. Apart from the Mash Dirt Track(125, 250 and 650), Brixton Felsberg, Harley XR 1200 and Indian FTR, attempts have been anecdotal. It has to be said that the discipline is very much a 'rican thing, and only appeals to a handful of enthusiasts.
But that doesn't stop the Tracker 400 from appealing to customers everywhere, with its rebellious and competitive side.
It takes its rider towards a more pronounced riding style, with flatter, lower (134 mm), wider (23 mm) handlebars and repositioned footrests (86 mm back and 27 mm higher), to better dominate the machine. Tilted to the front, you'll quickly want to go out and play with its mixed tires and TR-class single-cylinder.
More power
This block receives its first evolution. Triumph has reworked the engine tuning, revised the cams and overhauled certain parts to gain 5% more power. This gives us 42 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. 1,000 revolutions more than on the Speed and Scrambler to get the extra watts. Torque remains unchanged, but its 37.5 Nm have also been shifted 1000 revs higher. Ride-by-wire throttle and anti-dribble clutch complete the mechanical package.

To accompany the Pirelli MT60RS tires, the Tracker features a Showa inverted fork with large 43 mm piston, a rear shock absorber with external reservoir, 140 and 130 mm suspension travel, a radial front brake caliper with 4 pistons to bite a 300 mm disc, a 230 mm track for the rear, ABS and traction control. All anchored to a tubular steel frame. The only adjustments available are rear preload and Traction Control deactivation. ABS cannot be deactivated here, unlike on the 400 Scrambler.
More than just colors
In addition to its more "Destruction Derby" colors, the Tracker stands out from the Speed 400 with its split exhaust (from the Scrambler, but with different thermal protection), number plates, redesigned fuel tank, flatter seat, micro windscreen, 14-spoke rims, redesigned seat cover and under-seat covers, new taillight, extended rear mudguard and revised passenger handle. And 3 kilos more.
Triumph intends to gently unleash the 400 family with this Tracker. A little more incisive, it encourages a few "drifts" when riding. Some 600 euros more than the Speed will be required to grab these new handlebars.
