the scrambler - a motorcycle style that is slowly resurfacing, ancestor of the trail bike and characterized by its high-side exhausts. Originally, the Scrambler was a road bike that was somewhat modified for use on rolling trails. The method of yesteryear has been applied today. Take a charming, nostalgic tourer like the recent Bonneville T 100. Raise the ground clearance and mufflers a little, put on knobby tires and big handlebars, add a touch of homage TRIUMPH 900 SCRAMBLER to the legendary TR6 (Steve McQueen, does that ring a bell?) and you're at the controls of a machine that smells like a 70s adventurer. Close your eyes and let the adventure begin. Open one eye and savor the simplicity and elegance of the dashboard. Start the engine! It's no longer pissing oil, but it's still a twin that drives this Triumph. In this case, the 865 cm3 engine with 270° timing already fitted to the Speedmaster. Power output is modest, the manufacturer having prioritized torque. Performance, trajectories, surgical precision, horsepower and mkg - these are not terms we'll be using when riding the Triumph Scrambler. Because we don't give a damn about these notions! All the little faults that we'd find unforgivable on a Japanese sports bike are transformed into charm on this British machine. Could it be British phlegm or nostalgic compassion? Only the response to the machine's relaxed invitation. It's enough to indulge yourself and show off in front of London's Ace Cafe.

Which rear shock absorbers for my 2015 triumph 900 scrambler?

I've been an inveterate biker for 40 years now...(ouch, it's funny to write that, time flies), and now I'm the owner of this marvel of a bike, the 2015 Triumph 900 Scrambler. I love the way it looks, the sound of the machine, the torque and the gearbox, I'm delighted with everything, apart from the weight, which made me hesitate... Not too much though. I've owned it for 6 months now and I have to admit that it's a real pleasure to ride in the curves, easy to control. The black spot for me is really its weight, at standstill. I'm 1m70 for 62 kgs and I feel the 230 kilos. I also feel the weakness of the shock absorbers and I would have liked some sound advice to guide my choice, knowing that I don't want to go up to 1000 euros! Thank you in advance for your advice. I've had the carbu model since 2007 - 40000 Km - and I still love it just as much. I tried out a Ducati scrambler for an hour, leaving my old companion for a young one, and my infidelity only lasted an hour. Perfect finish, incredible looks and very interesting torque, top in town and on small roads. I suffer on the freeway but it's rare that I'm there with her. I've never managed to stay in a relationship for more than 7 years, but with her everything is different. At 65 years of age, after eating tires on motobec 500, jawa 350, Norton 650, then with l\'age bmw 1100 and 1150, I'm finishing my mission on the 2004 scrambler exclusively on mountain roads.
Paradise, especially not in a duo and at speeds over 120. And the youngsters watch me go by.

All joking aside, this nice bike deserves an abs, which would make it safer for beginners (especially girls, who are sometimes clumsy)!

to answer filu, I've owned one for 15 months, so I can speak for myself
-the pot line, no worries even in summer, just avoid synthetic pants
-there are 2 ways to use this machine
on its own, despite its low hp, it becomes very playful on the small roads of the Cevennes
for a duo, you need to keep your wits about you and ride with your nose to the wind
in any case, it's not a tourer: from 120 km/h onwards, the wind brings you back to your senses,

i came across a scrambler on toulon this week, superb bike, incredible looks, and according to the owner the pot line only really makes itself felt when stuck in traffic in town. It was accompanied by a speed triple, and I rode with them on a short tour of the hinterland via Mont Faron. On the big curves, the scrambler had trouble keeping up with my z 1000 and the triple ... on the little bumpy roads with the Faron hairpins, we were the ones who had a hard time LOL In short, it's not just a machine for those nostalgic for a bygone era, but also a great fun toy, provided the terrain is suitable ... something to think about! 09/14/2007 09:54 Rating : 5/5 Respond to alexandrez

Having tried the Scrambler for 3/4 of an hour, it's a very pleasant bike to ride, with a nice old-fashioned look, but beware of the "central heating" provided by the line of pots, and the imbalance generated by this line on the right. I'm a bit worried about the duo with a bit of luggage in the middle of summer on southern roads! Honestly, the line of pots on the side is not at all annoying, even in summer. The protections are very well arranged, even for the passenger. The only drawback is that you shouldn't ride with a coat or raincoat (which is often the case for female passengers), as the pants could burn on contact.
Otherwise, nothing but good things about this bike: very pleasant to ride (torque), brakes well, excellent finish, riding position very much geared to contemplating the road and landscape (above 120 km/h, it's tiring, but it's an excellent speed limiter for the health authorities. My only regret: no lap counter (this was an option on mine). For storage, I added a small pannier on the other side of the pot. It balances out the look
