since Triumph discovered the charms of vintage, the factory has also developed a real passion for the famous actor Steve Mac Queen. And rightly so, for the man loved motorcycles, speed, competition and Triumphs. He owned over 200 bikes, and his love of competition led him to take part under a false name, alias Hardy Muschmann.

it was a godsend for the Hinckley-based brand to have such a fan in its ranks. The brand is therefore offering a limited edition of its Bonneville T 100 for 2012. A tribute to the name of the eternal troublemaker of the great escape. 1100 examples of the Bonnie will be fitted with numerous black parts and matt khaki paint. The headlight is replaced by that of the Srambler, the seat becomes single-seater, and behind the friendly 865 cm3 parallel twin, the sides of the bike are signed "Steve Mac Queen". Each customer will receive a certificate of authentication, and the bike will be numbered with a plate on the handlebars indicating its number.

rather discreet, this Steve McQueen edition sports a military color scheme quite similar to the machine used in the famous chase through the German countryside. It's a far cry from the previous tribute: the blue and orange Tag Heuer Bonneville, based on the color codes of the Porsche 917 driven by Steve in the film "Le Mans".
