presentation of the 900 THRUXTON édition spéciale ACE 2015
Triumph's range includes the demonstrative Thruxton, the perfect example of the seventies. It's got style, but leaves performance to its Daytona cousin. Its thing is vintage, parallel twin, spirit, and the indescribable aura of a base camp like London's ACE café.
a staple of British biker culture, this gathering place is the inspiration for this special edition Thruxton. It's as if this cafe-racer walked into the bar, made a few friends and then proceeded to tattoo the ACE colors on his skin. Hence the specific "Pure White & Jet Black" color scheme, perfect for blending in with the front of the London establishment. This Thruxton is also distinguished by an Oxblood saddle, a special plate on the handlebars with authentic mirrors at each end, and a series of ACE CAFE stickers behind the (fake) carburetors and on the fuel tank.
special series or standard Thruxton, this machine is derived from the Bonneville, with its 865 cm3 twin-cylinder engine rated at 69 hp and 7.1 mkg. The tubular steel chassis is sufficient for the purpose, the wheels charming with their spokes, and the vocation more old school than racing. The Thruxton ACE will be available in 100 units only.
