the Speed Triple - Triumph's most emblematic roadster. Brother of the big Daytona, it began its career with the T309 version in 1994, acquired its rogue status with the T509, confirmed its athletic potential with the 1050 cm3 version... and ended up 21 years later with this special series. The Speed 94R commemorates more than two decades of punkish, muscular character and style.

the Speed Triple really came into its own in 1997, when the T 509 adopted a sporty chassis and, above all, the famous twin headlights that both disturbed and mesmerized everyone. The R version, with its full Öhlins damping system, was a real highlight. Does the Speed 94R combine the best of both worlds? To be judged subjectively, as only the dress and a few details distinguish this Speed.
With a nostalgic selection for genuine Speed enthusiasts. They won't be treated to the return of the round headlamps (so popular), but rather to the scents of the past. On the sides, the calligraphy is the same as on the dirty versions from the 90s. The yellow hue recalls the acidity of the old Speed colors (apple green, plum mauve, racing yellow) and makes an immediate impact. So why not import it to France ???? Only black will be available.
The Speed 94R gains a commemorative plaque on the tank, yellow edging on the rims, and a black finish on the exhausts, engine cowling, windscreen and fuel filler cap. The original passenger is a body-matched seat cover.

as an R, this 1994-scented Speed Triple takes care of its handling, with a frame borrowed from the late 955 Daytona, supported by a NIX30 fork and TTX36 shock absorber supplied by Öhlins. Braking is handled by Brembo monobloc calipers with a 320 mm bite. As for the engine, it no longer rivals the monsters of the segment, but 135 horsepower in the pot is still a strong performance. The three-cylinder will continue to provoke many a sporty ride.

this Speed 94R looks to the past with today's technology, a sort of wink before handing over to a generation as muscular as it is digital. Here, it's fuel injection and ABS, but no traction control, multiple mapping or Rafale electronics. This one-time reference celebrates the birth of streetfighters. With a "So British" spirit, of course.
