presentation of the TMAX 560 25# Anniversaire 2026
Twenty-five years after revolutionizing the two-wheeler segment, the Yamaha TMAX gets a special edition for 2026. This exclusive edition, available for one year only, pays tribute to the pioneering sports maxi-scooter that has transformed the European market since its launch in 2001.
A heritage of 340,000 units sold
Launched at the turn of the millennium, the TMAX established a new concept by fusing the dynamic performance of a motorcycle with the practicality of a scooter. With over 340,000 units sold in Europe, this model became the spearhead of Yamaha's "MAX" range. Today, this line (including the XMAX and NMAX) accounts for over 80% of the brand's scooter sales on the continent.
To mark this jubilee, the Japanese manufacturer is offering a top-of-the-range version with specific aesthetic attributes, while retaining the technical base of the current ninth generation.
Aesthetics inspired by the model's history
The "25th Anniversary" edition is distinguished by its exclusive livery and meticulous finishes:
Color: "Deep Armar" bodywork (matte dark gray metallic) contrasted with light gray "boomerang" elements, a direct reference to the 2006 Black MAX edition.
Upholstery: Exclusive red double-stitched saddle with hot-stamped logo.
Premium details: TMAX 3D emblems in red chrome, black rims with machined edges and engine cover with anodized ring.

Technical specifications and powertrain
In its commemorative guise, the TMAX remains true to its reputation as a sporty scooter. It is powered by a Euro5+-compliant 560 cm³ twin-cylinder engine, delivering 35 kW / 47.6 hp (making it A2-licensable) and 55 Nm of torque.
The chassis is based on a double-spar die-cast aluminum frame, combined with an inverted fork and extended swingarm for optimum stability. On the braking side, the model is equipped with Yamaha's Brake Control (BC) system, complementing the standard ABS.
On-board technology and connectivity
The cockpit features a 7-inch color TFT screen with three display modes. Connectivity is provided by the MyRide application, enabling call and music management, while full Garmin Motorize map navigation is integrated free of charge.
Finally, practicality hasn't been forgotten: the Smart Key keyless start system controls the ignition, seat and fuel tank opening, as well as locking the center stand.

A beautiful design to mark the 25th anniversary.
I love the subtle modification to the rear suspension for improved stability, the stunning TFT display—finally—and the new, perfectly understated lighting signature.
The only thing missing is a slightly more prominent color scheme featuring the 3D-style “25” logo.
Otherwise, a beautiful tribute. Rating : 4/5 Respond to Kikoss16
