presentation of the XV 950 Bobber 2014
more of a cruiser in recent years, with its Midnight Star range, Yamaha is now adding a touch of fun and boldness with its little Bolt... sorry, XV 950. Its compact, bobber-like design treads on the toes of the famous 883. The twin doesn't have the character of the American engine, but allows everyone to quietly enjoy the thrills and spills - 52 hp and some 8 mkg of torque to lift its 250 kilos. And to give you even more pleasure, here's the XV 950 in a special BOBBER series.
contrary to its name, this is not a stripped-down version, but an accessorized edition. The Bolt picks up a "Bobber" saddle from the accessories catalog (two little springs to support the buttocks), a "Bullet" windscreen, a pair of fork gaiters and a set of advanced controls that move the panels by 64 mm. All that's missing are the spoked rims, and this little prepa would be a thing of beauty.
this more plush XV 950 Bolt BOBBER saves you a hefty "purple" compared to buying the same parts here separately. With this little exercise, Yamaha also reminds us that its machine is a good starting point for any kind of customization. If you don't feel like starting out with creativity and long hours in the garage, this BOBBER edition lets you take your first step in customization without touching a screwdriver.
