Motorcycle specifications Yamaha XTZE 1200 Super Ténéré Worldcrosser 2015 Technology on the Sahel blast
presentation of the XTZE 1200 Super Ténéré Worldcrosser 2015
Symbolizing Yamaha's return to the road-going fantasy of rally-raiding, the 1200 Super Ténéré unabashedly displays its ambitions in the strategic maxi-trailer market. A hint of nostalgia in the name, a good dose of twin-cylinder power where the engine is available and torquey but not demonstrative enough, comfort, and a fairly extensive technological package - even more so in the E version. A letter to indicate that the machine is equipped with electronic suspension, taken from the FJR 1300 and offering a wide range of settings. 84 possible combinations for à la carte damping.
what else does the Worldcrosser version offer? Some equipment to protect strategic parts of the Super-T. Firstly, a series of carbon parts: fairing sides, fork protectors and frame covers to prevent wear and tear on boots. A few self-adhesive strips adorn the fuel tank. Aluminum is requisitioned for black anodized parts securing the cardan shaft and rear brake caliper. An engine cover protects the parallel twin from stumps, stones and other roadside dwellers. A deco kit completes the package. And yet... it would be nice if the Worldcrosser kit also contained the elements shown in the photo, i.e. off-road tires, Akra exhaust and small fog lamps.
as a reminder, the XTZE is equipped as standard with the aforementioned pilot-controlled suspensions, coupled braking and deactivatable ABS, traction control with 3-stage traction control, cruise control, a choice of 2 fuel injection maps (Touring or Sport), adjustable seat and windscreen, spoked wheels, center stand, heated grips and a few goodies.
