presentation of the SCR 950 2017
Taking advantage of the "scrambler" craze, Yamaha presents one based on the XV950 model.
scrambler-style handlebars, slightly raised exhaust, flat seat, 17" rear and 19" front wheels, fork gussets and a few touches here and there. You take all this on one side, on the other you take an XV 950, mix it all up, put it in the oven and wait for it to cool. The result is the SCR950, which, as everyone knows, is a scrambler XV950.
suspension: a conventional fork with a 41 mm diameter and 135 mm travel. At the rear, two 110 mm-travel amortos. Braking is provided by two 298 mm-diameter wave-type discs (one front and one rear), backed up by standard ABS.
the instrument panel features a tinted LCD screen, and the machine has a small storage compartment under the seat. Seat height is 830mm, and ground clearance is 145mm.
all this, of course, complies with Euro4 standards.
the 942 cm3 air-cooled V-twin engine, with its 8.1 mkg of torque at 3,000 rpm, and its "off-road" tires will get you out of a lot of off-road situations. Not unpleasant to the eye and with a resolutely adventurous look, this bike seems playful and pleasant to ride. All things considered, it's still a custom bike, with a dusty, prairie look. And within reason, of course! After all, secondary transmission is by belt. The belt may not take kindly to repeated passages over stones and other undergrowth joys.

STP Yamaha: remove 60 kg and the drive belt, add 3 cm of front and rear travel, and give the boiler a little more pep and you're there. :-P Rating : 2/5 Respond to Zecrow
