For 2017, Yamaha is offering a 3rd R1M limited series. But the big additions to the range are a major evolution of the R6 and the arrival of an MT-10 SP. A custom-scrambler SCR 950 is added to the range, the MT-09 evolves, and the XSR 900 comes in a special Abarth series. A whole series of models adapt to Euro 4: the XSR 700 and 900, the custom XV 950 R, the R1, the YZF-R 125, the 900 Tracer, the MT-07, the MT-125 and the 1200 Super Ténéré. The T7 concept foreshadows the next 700 Ténéré. A number of models disappear from the catalog, including some emblematic ones: the XT 660 R, X and Ténéré Z, the XJR 1300 and its Racer version, the exceptional 1700 V-Max, as well as the YBR 125 standard and Custom, the WR 125 X and R, the SR 400, the XJ6, the FZ8 and 800 Fazer, the XV 950 CR, the XV 1300 and 1900 Midnight Star, and the XV 1300 Stryker.

Motorcycles recalled on Friday, March 26, 2021 in 12 countries : FJR 1300 A: The gearbox may be defective. This can lead to propulsion failure, increasing the risk of an accident.
300 YZF-R3: Due to an improper curing process (vulcanization), a crack may appear on a radiator hose and coolant may leak. Affected machines: 2017 YZF-R3 models with serial numbers RH121 0001001 to RH121 0003280. YZF-R3 models 2015-2016 with serial numbers between RH071 0001001 and RH071 0006680
