Special series are not the preserve of manufacturers or their importers, and some dealerships treat themselves and/or their customers to enhanced models. Like this successful and refined Yamaha 847-R.

Behind this strange name lies a 900 Tracer GT, clearly revisited by Oscar Tasso and built by Rimini's D&G Motorsport dealership. A little Italian sensibility falls in love with the fiery Japanese crossover, in a night of gold and emotion.

All in black, enhanced by gold wheels and forks, the 847-R develops an obvious filiation with the R1 SP, the hypersport's sublime special series in 2006. The Tracer gains in depth while allowing itself an enigmatic thrill. The rims become Alpina spoked models, adding to the bike's charm. No frills, just class.

Accessorizing finds its place with a series of parts from the Yam' catalog, such as the Akrapovic titanium exhaust, LED turn signals, a sport plate holder and a protective grille for the radiator.

on the other hand , you can't buy the Tracer 847-R like a pizza at Super U. It will be produced in a limited series and by reservation only. In exchange for a cheque, the amount of which D&G Motorsport discreetly withholds (albeit at a level commensurate with the modifications made). Each customer will have his or her name engraved on a plaque, which will also show the serial number.
The first customer for the 847-R was Vasco Rossi, a provocative Italian rock star of the '80s and '90s.

As a reminder , the bike comes as standard with an aluminum spar frame, adjustable bubble, TFT color display, 22-liter City panniers, heated grips, shifter, cruise control, center stand, traction control, ABS, 3 engine maps, 12V socket and a distinctive character.

Why 847? It's the engine displacement that powers this Tracer GT. A brilliant 3-cylinder that also delights MT-09 and XSR 900 owners, and, to a lesser extent, Niken owners. 115 lively, enthusiastic and rambunctious horses, who like to growl and not sit still ;-)
