presentation of the RSV4 1100 2026
Aprilia is launching a "new" RSV4 for 2025, at least the umpteenth improvement on a base bike that was extremely well-born. Like a stew, the RSV4 gets better every time it's reheated. The most striking fact is its claimed power of 220 hp (with original exhaust), which puts it head and shoulders above the BMW S1000RR or even the brand-new Ducati Panigale V4. The German with 210 hp and the Italian with 216 hp are beaten.
The horses are in the detail
With no less than 7 titles won in the Superbike category and an assiduous presence in MotoGP, Noale's engineers have accumulated a great deal of data, enabling them to further improve the brand's V4. Meeting the demanding Euro 5+ standard, it delivers increased torque and power: 220 bhp at 13,100 rpm and 125 Nm at 10,800 rpm, making the RSV4 the most powerful homologated production superbike in the world.
Aprilia points out that their efforts were mainly concentrated on a new 52 mm throttle body assembly (instead of 48 mm) and a new exhaust system. With 3 hp more than the previous version (217 hp), Apirlia continues to push back the limits of an engine base that now dates back to 2009 (!!!) In its first year on the market, the bike developed 180 hp.
The catalytic converter has also been repositioned to develop less heat towards the rider, and the homologated exhaust assembly (SC Project optional) has been simplified.
APRC for all!
All RSV4 2025 models come as standard with a six-axis inertial platform, Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle and three riding modes that manage the three levels of cornering ABS and APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) controls. While some functions are missing on our entry-level model (such as launch control), the RSV4 2025 benefits from the following aids:
- ATC : Aprilia Traction Control: adjustable on the fly without closing the throttle, with eight levels. It offers a more efficient intervention logic, and now works in synergy with the new ASC (Aprilia Slide Control), which can be set to three independent levels.
- Revamped AWC , Aprilia Wheelie Control: the new wheelie control system, adjustable on three levels, offers predictive strategies. The system does not intervene abruptly to mitigate a wheelie in progress, but acts smoothly before the event occurs, thus improving performance. This adaptive function, designed for track sessions, learns the rider's characteristics and adjusts the level of intervention to ensure optimum performance.
- AEM, Aprilia Engine Map: three different mappings available to modify engine character and power.
- AEB, Aprilia Engine Brake: a three-level adjustable engine brake control system with a specific algorithm that optimizes operation by taking into account the angle of inclination.
- AQS, Aprilia Quick Shift: the electronic gearbox for lightning-fast gear changes without closing the throttle or using the clutch. It comes with a downshift function, allowing you to downshift without engaging the clutch. It also allows you to downshift with the throttle open.
That's a lot less than theex-RSV4. Launh Control, Pit Limiter and cruise control are no longer included. But they haven't disappeared; Aprilia has moved them to one of the additional packages.

Brembo HyPure
On the chassis side, the RSV4 has changed little. It's still considered one of the best in its class. Suspension is still handled by Sachs, and the same aluminum frame/swingarm assembly is used. For this vintage, the frame is finished in black. The fork has a diameter of 43 mm and 127 mm of travel, while the shock absorber offers 130 mm of travel.
Braking is provided by Brembo's crème de la crème, with HyPure calipers (also fitted to the Panigale V4). An evolution of the Stilema, these calipers are lighter and allow a greater brake pad/disc contact area, for braking that'll put your teeth through the bubble! According to Brembo, HyPure calipers also disperse heat better than Stilema calipers. The calipers bite 330 mm discs at the front. The rear gets a 220 mm disc clamped by a two-piston caliper.
With this braking power, you'd better have good ABS. On this point, the RSV4 relies on a Bosch ABS unit with cornering function, adjustable to 3 levels and capable of managing rear wheel lift.
Aerotop!
Given the performance now delivered by the RSV4, aerodynamic development has become increasingly essential. Aerodynamics make for better roadholding and less wheelies.
The bodywork of the new RSV4 has been completely redesigned with these two main objectives in mind: improving rider protection and reducing drag. Double-stage fins have been introduced in the area below the bubble. This new fin configuration, derived from Aprilia's MotoGP experience and worked on in the wind tunnel (according to the press release), increases downforce, thus improving cornering precision and high-speed stability. You'll have to weld hard to feel the difference with the previous model, sensations that are no doubt imperceptible during road use. The new aerodynamics also help to reduce the heat directed towards the rider, complemented by the introduction of new, more powerful radiator fans.

Overall, the new fairing reduces the aerodynamic drag coefficient (CX) by 6% and wheelie tendency by 8% compared to the previous version of the RSV4. Redesigned shell and side fairings also contribute to the effort. The rear light cluster, lighter and more minimalist, is integrated into the license plate holder. For track use, simply remove the bracket to eliminate all the lights.
The new RSV4 features a 5-inch TFT color instrument panel with revised graphics, a fuel gauge and new backlit control switches on the handlebars.
A champion turned myth
Although it no longer competes in the World Superbike Championship, the RSV4 continues to benefit from Aprilia developments. Power may be a winning argument, but in the final analysis, it's its longevity that makes it one of the world's most exceptional motorcycles. It's a fabulous bike to ride, even on the open road, and depending on your skills, it can be pushed to the limit to slam a pendulum on the racetrack - a real pleasure!

If the on-board electronics aren't enough for you, Noale's shelves are full of options with assistances at every level. Available as a package, they allow you to set this hypersport in every sense of the word.
The Track Pack, standard on the RSV4 Factory, includes :
- Race Dashboard: the track-oriented configuration of the instrument cluster.
- ALC, Aprilia Launch Control: the track-assist starting system, adjustable in three levels for track-only use, with highly effective operating strategies.
- APL, Aprilia Pit Limiter: the system that allows the rider to select and limit the maximum speed in the pit lane, or easily comply with speed limits on the road.
- (New) ASC, Aprilia Slide Control: the new three-stage adjustable function to prevent and limit rear-wheel side-slip. Like the new AWC, ASC also features a predictive function.
The Comfort Pack, standard on the RSV4 Factory, includes :
- Cornering lights: a pair of auxiliary lights inside the headlamp housings illuminate the inside of bends, improving visibility when leaning over.
- ACC, Aprilia Cruise Control: practical for long trips, allowing the rider to maintain a set speed without using the gas pedal.
The Race Pack: standard on the RSV4 Factory, it incorporates the GPS Module, which automatically records lap times on the track, just like on racing bikes. The Race Pack features :
- Turn-by-turn functionality. As with the most advanced racing motorcycles, this system automatically adjusts the ATC and AWC electronic parameters according to the rider's preferences before taking to the track. This is the latest evolution of the turn-by-turn management system, which Aprilia first introduced in 2015.
The turn-by-turn suspension function is only available on the RSV4 Factory. This system automatically adjusts the electronic parameters of the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension according to the preferences set by the rider before taking to the track.
Race Pack and Öhlins semi-active suspension turn-by-turn management work via the new fourth-generation Aprilia MIA multimedia platform (standard on the RSV4 Factory). This allows riders to connect their smartphones to the bike, extend instrument cluster functions and download data for analysis.
In keeping with tradition, the Aprilia RSV4 Factory features top-of-the-range equipment, including forged aluminum wheels and the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system, replacing the RSV4's fully adjustable Sachs mechanical suspension trio. All electronic packages are standard, including the new Slide Control function, turn-by-turn suspension and engine power calibration. It is available in a single color palette - Dark Kraken - which makes the factory immediately recognizable, also thanks to its combination with the two-tone seat.
