presentation of the RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute 2027
Aprilia pays a very special tribute to the Phillip Island circuit with this special edition RS 660. It’s as if it carries with it the memory of this racing landmark. The Australian track is one of the most beloved in the world, and the “little RSV4”embodies its spirit.
It’s truly symbolic! With this limited-edition model, the Noale-based manufacturer reminds everyone that it claimed its 300th Grand Prix victory (across all categories) at this track with Raul Fernandez’s win in 2025. The dates on the fuel tank refer to the 10 victories achieved here.
More Symbolic Than a Replica
But it’s also a way of saying “goodbye” to Phillip Island—the new MotoGP organizers have decided the championship will no longer race there, after 30 seasons of thrills, ocean views, wallabies along the track, and spectacular scenes. Starting in 2027, riders will compete in the heart of Adelaide, the country’s fifth-largest city.
The RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute features a racing livery in the colors of Italy, with the circuit’s name and layout on its sides. It’s sleek, fresh, and exciting—and it reinforces the idea that Aprilia’s little firecracker isn’t holding back when it comes to laying down some serious speed on the track.
Its 105-horsepower twin-cylinder engine is a real little firecracker, true to the manufacturer’s sporting tradition. An SC-Project racing exhaust would have been a nice touch to give it some growl, draw a connection to the RS-GP, and add a premium feel to the bike. But the Noale-based brand is content with this livery, a matching seat cover, and the serial number engraved on the fork crown.
A series, incidentally, limited to…… The exact number hasn’t been disclosed. We’d wager on a production run of 300 units, to match the number of victories.

The spirit of the sport above all
Since this Phillip Island replica is based on the standard RS 660, it doesn’t come with the Factory’s Öhlins suspension. That doesn’t stop it from asserting itself as a born semi-track bike, with its aluminum perimeter frame that uses the engine as a structural element, its oversized aerodynamic lip, its aggressive lines, and its advanced electronics. The APRC package, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking, cornering ABS, and fully adjustable engine maps, along with an Up&Down shifter, cruise control, Launch Control, a 6-axis IMU, 5 riding modes, and a 5-inch color TFT display are the bike’s second set of controls.
As for the lucky owners, they may not make it to the King’s Island, but they’ll have a little piece of its history.
