Motorcycle specifications Brough SuperiorLawrence Leaping Lena 2023 Heart extension

brough Superior produces motorcycles of the highest quality. Precious, sculptural, noble and rare. However, some customers demand more, or something different. Such is the case of a private individual, Mr X, who wanted a sidecar. Brough didn't have this type of machine in its catalog, so the Toulouse workshop created it from scratch.
the advantage of a craftsman like Boxer Design / Brough Superior is its ability to adapt to the customer's requirements and portfolio. The idea was to take a Lawrence and graft a basket onto it. A unique production, where excellence is in every bolt.
the basket's pure design is the work of Remy Lavernhe. His hands were guided by the influence of the Belle Epoque (early 20th century) to achieve this cigar-shaped cell. It took "Eric" more than 120 hours to turn the design into reality, the genesis of which involved working the subframe in titanium and the cockpit in aluminum foil. A sublime achievement, to be ranked among the timeless beauties of the motorcycle galaxy.
as a one-off special order, the Leaping Lena is priceless (and can only be roughly estimated). The original motorcycle is already a true gem, with a chassis bordering on goldsmithing and a beautifully built V-twin 1000 engine. The origin of the name goes back almost a century, to the hidden corners of performance. The factory informs us that "in 1932, an Australian by the name of Alan Bruce set a record in Vienna by becoming the first man to break the 200 km/h barrier in a sidecar aboard a Brough Superior sidecar with a 1000 JAP engine named... Leaping Lena! At the time, the sidecar carried a 65 kg ballast to act as a passenger."
The machine wasn't very pretty. Whereas its distant descendant would be at home on the estate of a wealthy Scottish lord or regal magistrate.
