With its 1000 MT-X, CFMOTO is setting foot—sorry, wheels—in the big-displacement trail bike segment. It’s not quite a maxi-trail bike yet, but the MT family is joining the ranks of the “over 110 horsepower” club. This Chinese “990 Adventure” reflects the brand’s move upmarket and also signals a shift toward a higher-end offering with this Crafted version.

It’s just a concept for now. But CFMOTO could easily put it into production. Public reaction might—or might not—give it that push forward. The 1000 MT-X Crafted presents itself as an adventurer with a polished look, thanks to a few well-chosen accessories.

It exudes greater elegance thanks to its less sporty, more refined styling, bronze finish on the rims and fork tubes, satin gray coating on the engine casings, and tinted windshield.

Givi has created a set of saddlebags specifically for the 1000 MT-X, as well as the large strap-on bag at the rear. These spacious saddlebags, mounted on high crash bars—which also house additional headlights—are perfect for stowing a picnic.
Akrapovic handles the sound system while adding a touch of flair with its titanium body and casing engraved with both brands.

It’s ready to make its debut in front of the hotel. CFMOTO created it to be seen, appreciated, and to cement the manufacturer’s position as a leading brand. What happens next is pure speculation.
