the Korean manufacturer is not impressed by the profusion of custom twin-cylinder bikes marketed by the Japanese. Thus, 2000 saw the launch of the Daystar, a pretty custom motorized by a single-cylinder Honda. You can rely on its reliability, but also on its performance. Lively, it's also nippy at green lights, and sober in use. The machine is easy to ride, although the brakes lack a little power and the gearbox selection is sometimes a little imprecise. Pleasant to drive, it's just as much fun to look at: with its ubiquitous chrome, twin tailpipes and cool looks, it's worth looking at twice. Its equipment is particularly rich, and the competition would do well to draw inspiration from it. Judge for yourself: 2 kickstands, a two-leg selector, rev counter, electric start and emergency kick, anti-theft ring on the frame... With optional extras, you can even turn it into a low-cruiser. With its rock-bottom price, it's one of the best deals on the market.

Very easy basic mechanics. 1 l of engine oil lubricates: engine, gearbox, clutch and cools the engine.
Change every 800 kms or 2 fill-ups.
Goes everywhere even on roads with 3 or 4 out on the footrests. One fill-up 400 kms. Excellent engine brake.

Excellent bike, pretty, reliable and above all very economical. Personally, I consume 2.5 l/100 when riding coolly between 80 and 90 km/h. It's comfortable and can easily carry 2 people. The engine is smooth and pleasant, with quick acceleration without changing gear. I've owned one for 19 years and never tire of it. It requires very little maintenance, and has passed the CT with flying colors. It's winterized for 6-8 months and starts on the 1st kick when the weather's fine, then recharges very quickly with the engine. Rating : 5/5

Good little 125, but the front wheel on mine doesn't seem to be in the center of the fork, so it guides all the way. For short distances, no problem. But as soon as you have to go longer distances, it's not so great. So you have to change the wheel bushings, and put the disc brake shoe at the same level as the wheel. Not easy when you don't know the exact value of the wheel offset. Thanks for your help. Rating : 4/5

Except that:for all those who have an injection do not ride in the rain.
I use it daily, so in all weathers.
This bike can't stand water.
In almost 4 years and 15,000 km, the cdi hs box because the connection with the wiring harness is not waterproof. And I don't need to tell you all the problems that followed...
If my dealer is top, the rest is not.
I ordered a windscreen and was told 5 months later that it was no longer available.

Hi Little Biker, I feel for you, the same thing happened to me, no matter how hard I try to explain it to my repairer, he says it's the battery that disconnects, but after checking the battery it's fine, he's had the bike for 6 days and is telling me again this morning that he's put it through the paces and that nothing shows up as a fault. It has an incomparable look. I've put all the options on it and I'm very happy to ride it.
I've had several bikes and scooters. This is the second Daystar I've had, and I don't regret my choice.
In terms of performance, it's a 125, so you don't have to ask it to run errands. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend always tells me that his is tough, comfortable, good-looking, but not too nervous.
If you want to ride like a real cruiser, it's OK;

Pour moi ,c\'est ok avec ma dealim de 2009 40 eme anniversaire avec 19000 kms et un 115 km/H à aujourd'hui,il faut savoir que je fais 105 kgs,,d\'autres problèmes minimes,mais bon une moto ne fera bien sur toutes...

i've just sold my '98 VT. Well, considering what I paid for it, I lost quite a bit. Apart from that, I can't say that this custom is a thunderbolt. As a duo, don't expect to exceed 110/120 downhill, or even solo for that matter. It's a touring bike, nothing more. Accessories are fragile, and corrosion attacks quickly if you don't protect the bike..
Average displacement for small capacities: 11 HP isn't much, is it? Have a good ride!

i just sold my daelim daystar today for a virago 535, i'm really sad to see it go, it was a 2000 i bought in 2003, over 3 years, not a single breakdown, cheap maintenance, really cheap chopper transformation and great performance for a 125cc! nothing to say, perfect bike! only hitch: the importer stopped, spare parts are not easy to find or you have to wait!!!! Hello, I bought my DAYSTAR in May 2004. 13000 km in 21 months. What happiness. I've added: Daelim leather saddlebags (no longer available), a windshield, chrome crankcase protection tubes, and chrome "eagle" decals on the crankcases...it looks great!

Hello. I have owned a Daelim Daystar since March 2005. I bought it used, it had only 6500 kms for almost 5 years. I made an excellent bargain. I just have a little problem with the fuel tank, which vibrates a bit... otherwise it's all chrome, and as the displacement isn't marked, a lot of people think it's a big cube. I'm very satisfied with it, I've driven over 2000 kms since I got it, it's comfortable and aggressive. Cruising speed is around 85 km/h, and at this speed I'm down to less than 2.5 liters of SP95 per 100 km, which is pretty good at the moment, top speed 120 km/h with no difficulty... It's very reliable, always starts on the first try. With two people, it's also a pleasure to drive, even if you have to shift gears on hills. My rating: 19/20. Rating : 5/5

It's a great bike. It's nippy, doesn't consume much fuel, so it has a long range (over 500 km), and if you put it through its paces, it does 130 km without a care in the world. Everyone loves it. it's been a week since i bought a 125 daystar after two years on a 125 kymco sing
size-wise, no photo, it's much bigger, more powerful, cruising speed 115km, on the freeway it goes up to 140km in the red zone, so we limit ourselves to 120km 9500rpm to avoid engine failure (you don't look like a stupid idiot stranded on the freeway with your bike). comfort-wise, nothing to say, it smoothes out the bumps in the road and you can ride it for miles on end, even with two people
As for the quality of the chromes, they need a lot of care, because the quality remains to be desired, but for the price, the equipment, the performance and the price, Japanese bikes like the Chadoow have a lot to worry about

Hi, I've just bought this bike (1 week ago!) and I've got nothing but positive things to say about it: it's beautiful, it's chromed all over (it's great for combing your hair), it's well equipped (2 bequilles, rev counter, oat gauge on the tank and also 1 handlebar, 1 seat and 2 wheels), and it's really nice.Just to be unpleasant, I'm going to underline 2 small points: the rear indicators are a little too wide for my taste, and the fuel gauge isn't precise. For value for money, I'd give it an 18/20 Rating : 5/5
