presentation of the Scrambler 800 Collezione 100 2026

Rarely has a bike been as lively and fun as the Scrambler in the Ducati lineup. A twin-cylinder that’s all about having fun while delivering truly authentic power. With its beach-towel-sized frame, an equally lighthearted look, and a proudly mischievous spirit, it’s no surprise to see it featured in the 100th-anniversary celebrations.

The Bologna-based company has selected 10 models to honor its history and centennial, each one bringing a piece of the legend back to life. This inspiration brings the 900 MHr, the 750 GT, the SL 500 Pantah (and others) back to life in the Panigale, Multistrada, Diavel, DesertX, and more.
Meanwhile, the Scrambler has chosen to reincarnate… the Scrambler. Not just any Scrambler: the very first one, with a 250cc single-cylinder engine, released in 1962 exclusively for the U.S. market.

A whole series of thoughtful touches

The Scrambler 100 unambiguously captures the spirit and colors of its ancestor, with azure blue adorning not only the fuel tank but also the frame, swingarm, fork crowns, footrest mounting plates, and rear subframe. A long, silver-gray stripe on the fuel tank echoes the teardrop shape of the classic model. The standout detail: the brand’s logo is the one from the original Scrambler era, from 1959 to 1967, featuring the silhouette of an eagle. Vintage-inspired style guaranteed.

Based on the 800 Nightshift, this model from the “Collezione 100” shows its family ties with a bronze finish on the brake caliper, the centennial logo on the fuel tank and the Alcantara seat, a plaque above the handlebars displaying its number in the limited series, a machined quick-release fuel cap, and a few other little goodies.

It comes with everything you need to take care of it: a protective cover (marked “Collezione 100”), a rear stand that matches the bike, a certificate of authenticity, and… What are these two paintings?!?
Ducat’ wanted to mark the occasion and give its centennial collection a more “art gallery” feel. To that end, each bike comes with a pair of numbered prints, created and signed by Ugo Nespolo. One depicts the Scrambler 100, while the other interprets the classic model.

What does the 803 cm³ Desmo twin think of it, with its 73 chevaux, its 2 riding modes, its shifter, its electronics, and its knobby tires? It says it wants to break free from the special wooden crate in which the bike is locked away so it can quickly head to the beach via back roads and have some fun along the way.
Where it’s going to be a lot less fun, though, is when it comes to the price. It’s almost twice the price of a standard Scrambler Nightshift. And keep in mind that this is the cheapest model in the collection. To fully capture the spirit of this tribute, only 100 units will be produced.

To complement its style, every Scrambler 100 owner can complete their look with a Suomy helmet and a limited-edition leather jacket, featuring a color palette that mirrors that of the bike. Only they will have access to this gear.

And what about the Scrambler’s origins in all of this?

We need to look to Ducati’s first American importer, Joe Berliner, who was eager to bring a new model to the U.S. market. At the time, Ducati was riding the wave of media success from Monetti and Tartarini’s 1957 round-the-world tour, and the excitement generated by that adventure had also reached America, thereby boosting the profile of the Bologna-based brand, which had been virtually unknown until then.
Berliner asked Ducati for an off-road motocross bike—a concept that had never before been considered at Borgo Panigale—but which ultimately came to fruition with the 250 Scrambler in 1962.
Initially available only in the U.S., the Scrambler wasn’t introduced in its home country until 1969. The 800cc version of the revived model, meanwhile, was reintroduced to the market in 2015.

French Model 2026
A blue moped for 23,000 euros? No, thanks.
The original didn’t cost that much back then, and for such a small scrambler at that price, the “collezione” seems more like a ridiculous marketing gimmick from the past than any genuine interest in the bike itself.
