presentation of the 696 MONSTER 20th Anniversary 2013

to discover the Monster is to choose a motorcycle with a distinctive taste and a strong identity, and to appropriate a piece of the legend. The 696 is the most accessible model for beginners, without being a midget. The Desmo twin is inimitable, the 80 hp are already strong, and for a vintage touch, the 20th Anniversary edition takes up the aesthetic codes of the first Mostro.

the Ducati logo on the tank is calligraphed as it was styled in 1986. The colors on the M 696 take us back to the early '90s, when the Mostro 900 was presented in Cologne in the autumn of 1992: the Ducati Red tank and seat cover are matched by a bronze-colored frame, while the vintage style is completed by champagne-colored fork sleeves, a gold Brembo brake system and chrome headlamp trim. Even many elements of the engine and chassis in light grey are a tribute to the first version of the Mostro. Even the rear-view mirrors are a wink: they're identical to those on the 900 Mostro.
The 696 Monster 20th Anniversary is a beautiful tribute, simple, elegant, classic - in short, irresistible.

* Mostro or Monster? In its early years, the roadster was called Mostro. The arrival of the Texas Pacific Group investment fund changed a number of things at Ducati, including the name, which became Americanized.
