Motorcycle specifications DucatiDIAVEL 1200 DIESEL 2017 Mad Max at Ducati

the Ducati Diavel Diesel is to motorcycling what stonewashed jeans are to ready-to-wear. It's the result of a new collaboration with the Italian clothing brand Diesel. Ducati presented it in Milan, not at the EICMA show, but during the men's fashion week. Perhaps because the alterations are exclusively cosmetic, but at least the model's vocation is clear. It's more than a motorcycle, it's an accessory to your lifestyle, dressing you up and embodying your state of mind. Close your eyes and head for the arid plains of Nevada in a "post-apocalyptic future".
Brushed stainless steel , rivets and visible welding... This design is paradoxical. It manages to be distinguished yet crude. Paradoxical, like its inspirations drawn from a "retro-futuristic" world (according to Andrea Rosso, Diesel's Creative Director). Surfaces have been given more work than on the standard version: they've been given grain. This is the American desert, the scene of apocalyptic mechanical clashes, from which it seems to have survived, thanks to its 162 horsepower, 13.5 Mkg of torque and enhanced electronics*. The Brembo calipers, the dashboard and the 5 chain links, all in red, are the remaining traces of hemoglobin from this barbarism. For this limited edition, the Diavel benefits from a special windscreen, made of crumpled sheet metal with rivets and welds - once again visible. It's ready to wipe away the gusts of bullets, backed up by a distinctive passenger seat cover. The side air intakes, which emphasize the Diavel's mechanical spirit, have the same surface treatment.
another subtle touch: the quilted brown leather seat and front mudguard are marked by a strange, occult logo. A triangle formed by a succession of Ds, representing the initials of : Ducati, Diavel, and Diesel. Three words, six letters each, forming 666. It's also the number of units produced by this collaboration. We may be onto something... The Masonic pyramid shape of the Illuminati, added to the satanic number 666? Here's the origin of the cataclysm, the source of its genesis... It's mechanically similar to the standard version(to be reviewed here).cover here), but you'll still have to pay €25,490 for this version, which comes with a numbered plate bearing the hymn "Never look back". Surely the ticket to a Redemptive Ark.

* sport
With 162hp, Sport mode offers the Diavel rider an adrenalin-fuelled ride, with full throttle opening for maximum acceleration. Ensuring total availability of the Testastretta 11° DS, Sport mode reduces DTC intervention to level 1 for riders who prefer performance a little closer to the limits of grip.
touring
The Touring mode is also programmed to develop 162hp, but with power delivered more smoothly and progressively. Rear grip is enhanced by increasing the DTC intervention level to 3, specially tuned for a pleasant, relaxing ride, ideal for long trips and ensuring maximum comfort for both rider and passenger.
urban
Since street riding requires more attention to the surrounding elements than to throttle performance, the "Urban" mode instantly transforms the Diavel into a maneuverable, easy-to-ride machine. Engine power is reduced to 100hp and DTC is increased to level 5 for greater system intervention in the most demanding traffic conditions.
