Motorcycle specifications Ducati1000 Hypermotard prototype 2006 Supermotard sees red

Fancy a supermotard with 100 horses, furious styling, Öhlins and Ducati badging? Then it's up to you to encourage the birth of this surprising proto from the Bolognese factory. Its name is as simple as it is precise: Hypermotard. A machine that could have you hooked in less than 3 laps. Very compact, very thin, made for winding and gliding, this beast smells of attack.
Just what you're looking for in a Supermot. But the Ducati has one more cylinder than usual. The twin 1000 DS has been seriously reworked to develop an extra 15 hp. So, with 100 horsepower and 175 kg dry weight, this hypermotard will enable you to perform figures of style, controlled slides and bloody arsouille in the tortured passes of France. A good Husqvarna or a solid KTM will certainly be hot on your heels, but you're not sure they'll be able to hang on on a straight stretch. The bike can go 220 km/h on them.
Dressed down to a minimum, the Ducati makes do with a striking headlight-mudguard plate and aggressive shoulders protecting the tank. The essentials are housed in the traditional trellis frame: the big twin, the Öhlins rear shock absorber, the swingarm from the latest Monster models, the inverted Marzocchi fork and braking provided by a single large 320 mm diameter disc. That's more than enough to calm down a light and typical machine like this. There's also a Brembo radial clamp. Beautiful Marchesini rims hold the sport tires and accompany the machine in a straight line, in curves, in wheeling... But don't think about being a dork! First, this proto has to be marketed. Ducati is waiting for your feedback.
