Some flirtations return to romance after many years. Such is the case with Ducati and Club Italia. This small group is an association of lovers of beautiful sports cars; and a certain passionate eye for motorcycles. Together with the Bologna-based manufacturer, they decided to get together to create the special edition Scrambler 1100 Club Italia.
The starting point is the 1100 Scrambler Sport Pro. The top of the family. Here, it's given a beautiful deep blue tank 'perimeterized' with red piping, and a frame dipped in the same color as the fuel belly. The emphasis is on seating, with a red leather saddle adorned on the rear with embroidery identifying the club's name.
This Scrambler is all about the feel of quality, with aluminum radiator scoops and a whole set of parts crafted in the same metal (levers, master cylinder caps, mudguards, injection system covers, fuel filler cap, turn signal bodies, footrests and chassis studs). Heated grips, spoked wheels and a pair of Termignoni titanium exhausts are also included. A matching Bell helmet is also included, along with a protective cover and certificate of authenticity.
Ducati and the club have also planned a small gesture of nobility: for each Scrambler sold, 500 euros will be donated to the S.Orsola hospital in Bologna to help combat Covid-19.
The previous crush between the two had given birth to the Monster 900 Club Italia, a limited edition of 36. The frivolities have since evolved, to land on this neo-retro machine cultivating the age-old flavor of the big air-cooled twin desmo. The Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro boasts 86 hp, characterful torque with a maximum of 9 mkg, Öhlins suspension, the traditional steel trellis frame, Brembo radial brakes and up-to-the-minute electronics. Traction control, triple ride mode, Cornering ABS and USB socket are all available between the handlebars and cobblestone tires.
