presentation of the HPS 125 Hipster 2019
There's nothing flat about the destiny of the Mondial brand. Flamboyant in the '50s, dark during the period of Japanese domination, reinvigorated at the dawn of the 2000s with the Piega (and Nuda), the Italian company then lost its way again in the wings of reality.
A new resurrection is in sight with the 125 Hipster. FB Mondial plays with trendy codes to get back on the market, with this little roadster that's been worked on and modded.
let's face it, the brand has lost a fair bit of charisma. In the past, when it relaunched with the 1000 Piega, the calling card was a Superbike playing in the court of the MV-Agusta F4, Benelli 900 Tornado, Voxan VB1 and VTR SP-2. Big stuff! Today, she's making hay with a 125. See the pedestal fall... To be put into perspective. The brand is returning to the original essence of its production. At the height of its existence, it produced mainly small-displacement bikes.
the Hipster comes with a halo of the past. And a style that asserts its unmistakable presence. The pencil stroke is clearly successful, with an aplomb rare on a machine in this segment, and a cosseted, dignified appearance. Workmanship, leather, elegance, and a touch of scrambler in a piece of roadster. A machine that fits in impeccably with the current neo-retro wave.
Engine-wise, it's not all vintage. The Hipster is powered by a Minarelli single-cylinder engine. We're still on Italian soil. Modern, the block features liquid cooling, 4 valves, double ACT, injection and Euro4. It produces 15 hp and 1.25 mkg.

As for the chassis, the Hipster is classic with its tubular steel double-cradle frame, sporty with its 41 mm inverted fork and twin rear shock absorbers with selective cartridges, and ambiguous with itsthe front brake disc is bitten by a 4-piston radial caliper.
this return to the Mondial is made with less fuss, probably to avoid getting stuck in the losses as in the past. His steed of conquest is enterprising, polished, cool and looks good. What remains is an uncertain future, which foreign capital will have to persuade to become complacent.

It lacks a lot of reliability; I had to replace the alternator rotor and stator, the injection box, the neyman (connector wire that cuts at its base), one of the 2 rear shock absorbers and the coolant reservoir; I'd like to point out that my bike has 3970 km on the day I write this comment and I bought it in June 2021 and picked it up on August 13, 2021. It's been 3 months that I've been riding with my beautiful world!
We often ride as a duo, but be careful!
The passenger seat is not at all padded like the rider's!
There's a "dome" that gets lodged in the crotch and is very unpleasant after 2 kilometers! The foam on it is too thin not to hurt! So I cobbled together another foam part and installed it under the original foam, and my wife is much more comfortable!
Then, as far as power is concerned, alone it's enough... with two... C\'est plutôt moyen... légère cote sur une pénétrante... 80 kms/h max!
Otherwise, a direct motorcycle that's pleasant to ride and quite comfortable for the rider!
Do you know of an accessory site for this bike? Change the seat for example... increase the power?
Bonne route à tous!
Ses ya !

I'm waiting to hear back from the brand, perhaps a recurring problem?
Apart from that, for the moment, superb bike...

We'll have to wait and see about the long-term reliability of the cycle part Rating : 5/5 Respond to yc
Too many problems,7000km, weight not fixed, no neutral, impossible to start in first gear, also a problem with the kickstand contactor, then a problem with the non-fixed causse (hence the problem with neutral and starting), then a problem with the contactor at clutch level, where the causse was not fixed, the speedo cut out while driving, no more.
The cooling hose, on the right-hand side, leaks from the top to the bottom, and beads up with different tightenings.
Loss of coolant at filler valve.
Fuel gauge doesn't work, nor does the time.
Fuel tank rated at 11L.
I emptied it...7L.
Barely 150 km range, ran out of gas 3 times.
Handles out of order at 7000km
Saddles not fixed, impossible to fit. Lost it twice.
VERY DANGEROUS.
REFUSAL BY ALÈS TO TAKE IT UNDER WARRANTY (JULY 2019.)
NÎMES REFUSED TO TAKE HER ON.
MY ASS IS NOW FULL OF THIS BIG M....
I bought it in Lyon.
So far, I've solved everything myself.
Because if it doesn't start in first gear...and in neutral...
Impossible to take it to the service company...
They refuse to fix it.
I spent a lot of time there.
Kickstand contactor, no
Gearbox pinion output weight...YES.(There was no screw...)
Electrical circuit disconnected on handlebar clutch switch, not fixed.
I still have a purple wire hanging from the original...I hid it in the frame.
As for the speedometer...there's nothing I can do about that.
Concerning the coolant filler valve and the hose, the circuit is not watertight.
I've refastened the tank, which moved, with special screws.
As for the seat, I've redone the whole fastening system.
And also the brake and clutch pedals, which were coming apart and twisting.
The gearshift pedal was passing under the wheelhouse...
I disassembled them and straightened them out little by little, so they wouldn't snap.
As for the rear-view mirrors that fell off while driving, I fixed them permanently by blocking them.
The gauge doesn't work, and it's impossible to rely on the km meter because it cuts out while driving, so I lose all the information...
Anyway, I'm waiting for a reply from the company, otherwise FOR SALE.
I did it all myself...
Fortunately!
ATTENTION THE TANK IS ONLY 7L. THE GAUGE WORKS IN THE END... Rating : 1/5 Respond to Galinette

i owned a mash seventy five 125
then a scrambler masai 125
and I've just bought the fb mondial 125 hypster.too top finally a product that meets my demand beautiful product, powerful, pretty and good quality manufacturing.
no more frustration on the main road when you're (with the scrambler) at 80 km/h and a 38-ton truck overtakes you (=danger)
the only small drawback, unknown to me, is that the hypster's engine is noisy at idle when hot. is this normal for this type of engine? can anyone reassure me?
