the Springer owes its very existence to its unique, yet exuberant fork. A very rarely used model: a parallelogram fork. The first Springer model appeared shortly after the 2nd World War, and the principle itself dates back to the 1930s. This type of front axle is heavier and more expensive than a classic double fork model, but it has certain advantages: greater comfort, equivalent efficiency and a devastating appearance. With the Springer, you're sure to attract a lot of curious onlookers on café terraces. Now, this singular custom bike has been given a new lease of life. The Twin Cam 88 is replaced by a larger-displacement version: the 96 ci with 1584 cm3. 1 mkg of torque and more horsepower. The Big Block benefits from a balance shaft and is rigidly mounted in the frame.

we'd have appreciated a braking system more in keeping with this big custom. Too bad, because the mechanics score points, forgetting the 1450 and leaving no regrets about the old 1340. The shocks do their job well. Brakes aside, this Softail is a healthy ride. Spoked wheels complete the look perfectly.
