the Fat Boy is certainly one of the best-known and most emblematic models in the Harley-Davidson range. 20 years after its appearance, a twin brother appeared in 2010, the Fat Boy Special. This model is rather like a Fat Boy whose skeleton has been soaked in a vat of black paint, with only the exhausts escaping drowning. In fact, it goes a little further for this big softail that's trying to join the Dark Customs family. In terms of finish and refinement details, the Twin Cam houses black between its cooling fins, but lets chrome invade the rest of the mechanics. The stainless-steel "mini beach" handlebars are narrower but larger in diameter, housing the electrical cables inside. The full rims are also covered in black, except for the rim. Same treatment for the headlight, exhausts and fork, dark as night, then finished off with a touch of stainless steel. The seat has been hollowed out by 10 mm, allowing it to merge with the bike (according to the manufacturer). This Fat Boy Special is more of a 'trendy' version. Since 2011, ABS has been standard. And from 2012, an even bigger engine more than justifies the name. All Softail models, including the Fat Boy Special, are powered by the beefy 103 block. This Twin Cam brings 1690 cm3 of displacement, a few more horsepower, and a nice slice of torque of over 13 mkg. Maximum torque of 132 nm is reached at 3250 rpm. Darker than the Fat Boy, this Special plays it cool, classic, with a silhouette that hits the bull's-eye every time.

i've owned a Fat 1450cc, and there's nothing like it: great power, lots of torque, improved comfort thanks to a very good seat (new hollowed-out saddle), the handlebars have been moved closer together, so you get a better grip on the controls, and you don't get tired at all, your arms don't pull any more! behind with a Sissi bar, and the 180 tire which absorbs road vibrations much better, Madame doesn't complain at all! a real pleasure this bike is for cruising, and fishing for pleasure! if you still have any doubts, don't hesitate any longer, enjoy the ride! 03/01/2014 19:18 Rating : 4/5 Respond to poupon
