Motorcycle specifications HondaCBF 600 N 2008 Let's focus on the essentials

with the S version having been extensively reworked, it was only logical that the CBF 600 N should follow suit. The only difference between the 2 versions is the fork head, so we find the same engine and chassis modifications. But in terms of looks, it's kif-kif with the previous generation. Only the aluminum color of the engine, the retro-style exhaust pipes and the 2008 decals distinguish them. As for the technical specifications, they've changed.
the CBF 600 inherits the new, more compact and lighter fuel-injected engine, directly derived from that of the 2007 versions of the CBR 600 RR and Hornet. Power is down to 78 hp, but it's livelier, better distributed, more available and housed in a lighter hara. The frame used remains the mono-backbone, revised from end to end - now in gravity-cast aluminum.
With its fork head removed, the CBF 600 N looks like a plush CB 500 with a larger engine block, and all the features and options of the S. One-liter larger fuel tank, fork with preload adjustment, HISS anti-theft system, Euro 3-compliant exhaust, new seat design (still adjustable to 3 heights), longer swingarm, new instrumentation with fuel gauge, easier-to-install center stand, and optional ABS/CBS braking system.

the most I've done before the reserve in leisurely driving was 390kms with the reserve without breaking down. I dared to push it to 415kms, not wanting to tempt the devil.
otherwise in normal driving 330/360 kms before reserve.
by tapping a little in 270/290 kms before reserve and l\'hiver with automatic staretr, n\'espérer not to make more than 280 kms before reserve in normal driving.
very good machine, I loved it, I lost it after an accident in January 2017,
D\'ou repair was too expensive excluding labor 5600E.
a piece of advice i give to the owners of this machine, go to a competent dealer and have the carburetor completely disassembled and synchro cleaned, the machine will thank you with spark plugs less than 3000 kms old and a clean air filter.
it'll run even better, I've found a real change in the acceleration and daily driving with 60,000 kms on the clock, it ran better than when I got it back in 2009 with only 45 kms.
with this good synchro setting, the technician told me that I had gained a power equivalent to more or less 3 hp more, so from 77.8 hp it went to 80.8 hp. and i think he was right, because it was more lively than before.
here is my experience with this wonderful machine that I regret, I'm only waiting for new finance to be able to do it again, I don't know what to take, try to find one like I had no doubt, but a safe one, not one that will have been used to make runs or breaks, or lifted wheels, or stoupies, a machine like that doesn't interest me, serious business.

Takes it to work every day, for rides and weekends - the best! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Acropolo
I've been riding it for two months now, and it's a real joy...for me!
Measuring 1.85, I feel perfectly at ease on it. I've only done 140 kms non-stop, which isn't much. But I don't feel tired!
Otherwise, only commuting to work (60kms/dr) and rides
In the 5000/9000rpm range, I find it goes really well! But then, I come from a 125 varadero, so of course..
Admittedly, the wind does make itself felt from 130/140...But it's a small roadster. So..
In any case, don't exceed the speed limit too often, because of the points!
And the ABS is very reassuring
My fuel consumption is 5.5l. But I'm not always very wise.
I never tire of it!
Neither riding it, nor pampering it!

Unlike many of these buyers, I'm not a beginner. On the contrary, I went through 6 different models in 8 years before buying this CBF. Two 650s on two wheels, a 900 and a 1000 on 4'legs, a 1000 on two wheels and a 955 on 3'legs. I'm not bragging, but rather praising the availability of this new 600 CBF engine! In fact, I don't really regret the larger displacements I used to own
At just 350 km (!), I'm already amazed by the roundness and trunk of this "little" engine! It starts to feel full from 2000rpm, then asserts itself from 3500rpm. After 6,000 rpm, you can feel that it's ready to give its all, with a sound that's quite bewitching. I'll be able to say more after the break-in, as it's currently running at 7000 rpm max
The chassis? A marvel! Lively and precise to perfection. Amazing once again
The CBS and ABS brakes are perfect, and in no way hinder braking in corners, apart from a slight stiffening. On the other hand, I curse Honda for delivering it with BT 57s! Not great in the wet
At 5999 euros with ABS (!), in gray livery, I'm over the moon with it. Enough to forgive a riding position more suited to medium-sized riders, and a finish that's not very appealing, but up to standard for a bike of this price. Nevertheless, the assembly quality seems to be up to scratch
Oh yes, I forgot about fuel consumption! At the moment, I'm running at 5l.
Delighted, I tell you!
