Sport

you'll have to get used to it, 2-strokes are going to disappear. So farewell to the NSR 125 - welcome to the CBR 125, which fills the gap. Designed for young sportsmen, it takes its look from the 600 CBR FS 2001. Incredibly small, the 115kg single-cylinder engine will have no trouble lugging around its (barely) 115kg weight. The mini-pistarde inaugurates a new 2-valve, single-shaft engine, making it the first 125 sports bike equipped with a 4-stroke mill. Although it will never rival the late 2-stroke engines, it is clean and smooth, and you can start to enjoy its power from 5,000 rpm. Voluntary in its use, it still needs to be brought up to between 7 and 11,000 rpm to reveal its full potential. Younger riders will reach the speed limit on freeways, while heavier riders will have no trouble reaching 120. Don't expect to achieve any major milestones at this pace. It's not the range but the slice of bread - sorry, the saddle - that will force you to relieve your buttocks. Thanks to its geometry, flyweight and narrow tires, the CBR is lightning-quick and easy to handle. The single disc brake ensures top performance. With all this, apprentice riders are in for a treat. The price is low, yet the CBR doesn't skimp on dashboard equipment, with a particularly optimistic speedometer. It's an efficient and fun little sports bike, but not for everyone. Grown-ups won't feel at home on it - it's better to make room for future O.J.s than for their fathers.

Good little bike with an outdated look...mine is 16 years old and has few km ...bought recently except for its size which is too small for a person of stout build 1.77m 75 kg.otherwise the engine easily gets it up to 120km /h with a 14 sprocket
I'm thinking of going for a 2017 ktm 125 duke for my next purchase.

Hello,
I need to put a top case on my 2004 cbr. I know it's ugly but I have no choice
I wanted to put a Givi but the support is indicated for model from 2005 to 2010. Will it fit on a 2004?
Thanks

Good evening

to answer your question, the bracket mounts very well on the cbr 125 from 2004 and it doesn't look bad. i mounted it on mine and it's very practical and useful.

Hello, seb
Thank you very much for your reply. At the same time, I had ordered the 30 L fixings and top case, which fit rather well and are very practical.

Hello,

i've just bought a Honda CBR 125 from 2006. It's second hand and has 19000km
From 4th gear the bike refuses to go above 9500 rpm!
Where can this come from? the choke?

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem. Solved by changing the gearbox output pinion for a 14-tooth one. Now the bike revs up in all gears, and does 130 even in windy conditions!
Add a K air filter

hello i have a cbr 125cc r from 2005 i would like to know if its possible to meter a larger size of tire rear 100/80/17 and front 80/90/17
is it possible to measure 110/80/17 at the rear and 90/90/17 at the front?

I think it would be better to find cbr 125 rims from 2011 because the rim is wider and accepts 130 at the rear and 100 at the front
But I don't know if they can go from one bike to another without modification...
And beware: a wider tire will increase handling but reduce performance.

A fun motorcycle, a little blade, a good-looking Japanese bike that doesn't care what people say about its small displacement, its small wheels, its false modesty ;-) It's got everything a big Cbr has, except speed! Rating : 5/5
a 125 that looks more like a 50..
well-made, well-built chassis, the engine isn't powerful enough to take this toy along
the brakes are very well dimensioned, at least at the front
generally speaking, you get the hang of it very quickly, but you soon tire of its engine, which is cruelly lacking in extension.

A brief assessment after 2 years with this bike
- original tires are tough but not grippy,
- fragile fairing,
- performance just about right,
- low fuel consumption, less than 3.5 l/100 km,
- brakes lack bite,
- chain kits replaced at 16,000 km,
- gearbox shaft broken at 30000 km, a known honda fault..
- despite honda servicing every 4000 km
In short, you get what you pay for, and no more
