presentation of the 1811 ROADMASTER Elite 2019
Indian has been building up its fleet of luxury motorcycles for some time now. Following the example of Harley-Davidson's CVOs, the second-largest American manufacturer now boasts high value-added machines, shimmering with opulence and capable of asserting a certain idea of prestige. At Indian, this brand is called Elite. The Roadmaster embellishes this name to the utmost. For lovers of richly endowed ocean liners, it's a sight to behold. What class! Such poise! And what mass! America shows off and takes control of the great outdoors.
The Roadmaster Elite takes the brand to the next level. The very top of the range. The road had already been blazed with the Chieftain Limited and Elite , but this is a clear step up. Already imposing, the standard Roadmaster seems almost bland by comparison. This is where the superb two-tone paintwork really comes into its own. Each motorcycle is hand-painted, the vintage here flaunting its superb'Wildfire Red Candy / Thunder Black Crystal' color scheme, highlighted with 24-carat gold leaf detailing. The Elite doesn't count time, taking 30 hours to paint alone.
Secondly, special series means special parts. The mudguards receive chrome accents and the company decorative bars. The rear-view mirrors are Pinnacles, also chromed, as are the handlebar controls. The driver enjoys wide, badged footboards, while the passenger can relax on leather armrests. A little zest for riding? The Indian Roadmaster Elite comes with a 600 W sound system, twice as much as the previous edition. Its PowerBand Audio Plus system includes an enhanced nine-band dynamic equalizer that automatically adjusts specific frequencies to the optimum level at different vehicle speeds to compensate for road, wind and engine noise.

A block that needs no introduction. With 1811 cm3 and 15.3 mkg (16.45 in the U.S.), this big twin has the delicate task of carrying one of the heaviest bikes in production. 430 kilos fully loaded, carried at a deep pace. Once on board, it's easy to be seduced by the plethora of equipment derived from the "basic" Roadmaster: electric windscreen, heated seat and grips, cruise control, keyless entry and start, and Ride Command to complete the package. With this large 17.8 cm screen, you can control on-board functions, multimedia, music, phone via Bluetooth and GPS mapping.
And now you're in trouble. In the past, all you had to do was write a huge check and snap up an H-D Limited CVO or a Road Glide CVO. Now, this Roadmaster Elite is part of the game, and it's much trickier to choose.

How could you forget to use reverse gear on a bike of this weight?
and at this price?
This oversight is preventing me from selling my HD Electra for this bike, which only lacks this detail, which puts it at a severe disadvantage compared to the CVO HD.
Thank you for your reply.
Yours faithfully
