Motorcycle specifications Indian1890 Chieftain Elite 2021 An elitist operation

presentation of the 1890 Chieftain Elite 2021
The Chieftain Elite is the most valued member of its family. A more polished model, rarer, more precious. More discreet in 2021 too... The 2020 dress was a source of inspiration with its layers of blood, night and chrome; this time, the Indian bagger is built in shadows and ashes.
Back in the range since 2020, the Elite is as strong and luxurious as ever. This Indian pushes the range under the sparkle of beautiful dresses, suits and liquor-laden receptions. To present itself in Phase II, it has changed its suitcases, re-lifted its face in the image of other Indian baggers, adopted 'Precision Machined Elite' rims, boosted the 'Ride Command' with a beefier processor and seized the 116 ci generation of the 'Thunder Stroke' engine.
As if to provoke its historic competitor, the emblematic American manufacturer has caught the luxury fever. Is it just a case of teasing Milwaukee in the CVO arena?
Whatever the case, this posh version of the bagger ups the ante and the taste for opulence. This special Elite series moves it into the premium + clan.
A strong impression of quality emanates from the whole, while allowing the enormous engine to shine through. The styling and mechanics explode before the eyes, complementary and detached at the same time. To live up to its status as a heavyweight tourer, it's all about comfort, with cruise control, keyless start, tire pressure monitoring system, electrically adjustable 'Flare' windscreen and remote luggage locking, to name but a few. Luggage capacity reaches 68 liters.
The Elite is also distinguished by a series of special parts such as aluminum 'Select Rider' pilot trays, all-LED lighting; and to get the most out of the entertainment offered by Ride Command with Apple CarPlay, the sound system is boosted to 400 watts.
Almost enough to forget the sound of the majestic Thunderstroke twin? Not quite. There's 1890 cm3 of deep growl in its cylinders. Gorged with metal and Americanism, it passes the 17 mkg mark - more exactly 171 Nm for those who prefer this value. On this 2021 edition, it loses its red-painted rocker rods to be draped in a sober finish more in keeping with its Dark side.
The character is modernized with three injection maps (Tour - Standard - Sport). For when the going gets rough, the engine can deactivate its rear cylinder at idle.
Produced in a limited series of 120 units worldwide, this American model is eager to be desired. The Chieftain Elite is one of Indian's most exclusive models. In typical American modesty.
