presentation of the KX 250 50ème anniversaire 2024
50 brushes for the KX range. It's hard to believe, but this family started out in the dirt half a century ago. This family, not the manufacturer... Kawasaki began winning motocross races as early as 1963, with the 125 B8M. Since then, model after model, performance after performance, innovation after innovation.
Like, for example, the Uni-Trak damping concept, with its own variable gear ratio system. Why do I mention this? Because this special edition of the KX 250 is adorned with a few clever symbols: a uni-trak sticker on the swingarm, a '90s-style KX logo with a fun-fuchsia twist, number plate slots and a blue saddle whose hue is taken from a 1990 model - a good time, apparently.
With the 50th anniversary KX series (250 and 450) and the special editions of the ZX-10R, ZX-6R 636 and ZX4-RR 40th sports bikes, Kawasaki shows its attachment to key moments in its history. Other modifications to the 250 KX include a 50th Anniversary logo next to the front number plate. Also, on the special edition, the fork and rear caliper protectors change from black to white.
Back to the KX logo for a little anecdote: the "splash" pattern in the background was originally created by dripping ink onto paper. This look has been reproduced using modern digital techniques.
This Kawasaki KX 250 40th Anniversary is as much about the middle as the end of the last millennium. Then, for the rider, why not start by remembering Stefan Everts in '95 and then enjoy a machine that's as excited as you like, with a nice dose of power and agility!..!
