presentation of the W 800 Cafe Style 2014
now we're looking at a very nice café racer. Kawa has added a small series of accessories to the W 800 and its Special Edition version, transforming them in a beautiful way. The old-fashioned fork head, the mono seat with its superbly vintage padded backrest, the deliciously retro colors - it all smacks of a British girl with a thirst for adventure. On the face of it, it's more a case of style than authentic café-racer, who must wear wrist-mounted handlebars. The presence of high handlebars betrays its roadster touring vocation. But when it comes to showing off, there's plenty of room on the terraces. Not very powerful, but super fun, the parallel twin puts a smile on every ride. The W 800's chassis is sound, the grip obvious, and the footrests rub without needing to provoke reckless optimism. Of course, when it comes to performance, it's vintage too...
