Sport touring

as is customary, the evolution of the ER-6n roadster continued with an update of its ER-6f sibling. Since 2012, the medium-displacement roadster has sported a sexy new fairing, with large, lively eyes and Edge Design fairing sides. The previous version was strongly inspired by the ZX-6R; "phase 3" retains this sporty look while softening the lines. There's even a nod to the ZZR 1400: a comma carved into the top of the fairing.

building on the naked version, the ER-6f perpetuates this incentive to travel with a whole series of extras that go hand in hand with its evolution. To affirm its status as a tourer, it now features an adjustable windscreen. The dashboard, a little sadistically styled, displays revs with a good old-fashioned needle; everything else is done digitally, with remaining range, instantaneous or average fuel consumption, and an economy indicator.
The Kawa 650 F III is equipped with a completely new chassis: both frame and swingarm are made of a double-tube steel structure. Combined with the re-configured, more torquey and more playful engine, the machine promises to be even more fun to ride down avenues and between bends. But it's also more comfortable, with a new two-tier seat that's more accommodating to your posterior and more accommodating to your feet when you stop.
Braking remains faithful to its petal discs pinched by 2-piston calipers; the optional ABS brake is now lighter and more compact.

French Bags Model 2013
Good all-round bike. Easy around town, nimble on small roads and enough protection to do a bit of 4-way riding. Ergonomics are good, and the seat is comfortable. The only fault I can find with it is a slightly imprecise gear selection and the engine is a little weak before 5500 rpm. On the other hand, it pushes pretty hard between 5500 and 7500 rpm, and fuel consumption remains very reasonable (4l on average when riding cool, 5l when more dynamic). Rating : 3/5

Hello everyone

I've been riding pretty well, 30,000 km on the odometer in less than 10 months, and I've never had any problems.
My maintenance is done by the Kawasaki dealer where I bought it, so this is already my 6th service.
replacement of Dunlop tires after 18,000 km and replacement of the chain kit for the first time. I think that 30,000 km is reasonable, especially as I ride in all weathers and on all kinds of roads, even farm tracks that are quite muddy or dusty.

No worries, not a single breakdown, the Kawette's reliability is excellent.

From the first to the latest version, this is a very good bike. This latest version seems to have a little better comfort and protection than the original. Just check that the gearbox is a little softer. Have a good fun and... a good trip. Rating : 4/5
French rene Model 2012
I had the 1st model, and this 2012 model is very similar, despite a few modifications. The main drawback is that the position is too upright for a bike that's actually quite sporty, thanks to its featherweight, wrap-around fairing and lively engine. All the more so since the 1st part of the saddle was uncomfortable, forcing you to stand back as far as possible to better absorb the little racket blows in the kidneys caused by a firm, bouncy shock absorber on bad roads. In terms of comfort, check that the new model does better, but I'm not sure. Apart from that, it's still a nice bike with a fairing (which isn't always the case) and a more modern dashboard than the 1st model I had. The lively, slightly rough engine, together with formidable stability on smooth roads (although it's a "wild card" on rough roads) and diabolical agility, make this bike a lot of fun to ride, if it weren't for that damn position that forces you to have your arms bent all the time, like the er6N.
